    • Back in lineup Saturday
Torres (groin) is starting at second base and batting seventh for Saturday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Torres left in the sixth inning of Thursday's game against the Orioles due to tightness in his right groin. He was held out of Friday's game as a precaution and is back in the lineup Saturday. For the month of June, Torres is slashing .194/.268/.387 with three home runs and 12 RBI over 62 at-bats. • Kyle Tucker (shin) hasn’t resumed baseball activity
MLB.com’s Brian McTaggart reports Kyle Tucker (shin) has yet to resume baseball activities.

Advice: Tucker is still walking with a limp and has yet to resume any baseball activities at this juncture. There was some optimism earlier this week that he was getting close, but clearly is still going to need some extra time to recover. There isn’t a definitive timeline for his return to Houston’s lineup at this point. He’s been out since early June recovering from a shin contusion. It’s fair to wonder if he’s dealing with something more serious like a hairline fracture at this point. There should be some clarity on his status at some point in the near future. • Stuck with loss in quality start
Crawford (3-7) took the loss Friday as the Red Sox fell 5-2 to the Reds, giving up five runs (three earned) on five hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Some defensive misadventures by Boston softened the blow to the right-hander's ERA and allowed him to escape with his third straight quality start and eighth of the season, but it's hard to ignore the issues Crawford has had of late keeping the ball in the park. He's been tagged for multiple homers in three straight outings and served up at least one in seven straight, stumbling to a 5.36 ERA over the latter stretch despite a 1.19 WHIP and 43:12 K:BB through 40.1 innings. Crawford will try to turn things around in his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Today, 6:46 am
    • Hammered by Atlanta
Rodon (9-4) took the loss Friday as the Yankees fell 8-1 to Atlanta, surrendering eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The Atlanta offense came to life at the wrong time for Rodon, as he got taken deep by Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley and Matt Olson before exiting the game after 93 pitches (56 strikes). The southpaw hasn't served up multiple homers in a start since May 2, but after a run of seven straight quality starts he's been tagged for 12 earned runs in 8.2 innings over his last two outings. Rodon will try to rebound in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Toronto. Rotowire.com Today, 6:41 am
    • Goes yard twice in Pittsburgh
Lowe went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 10-3 win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder touched up Luis Ortiz for both his long balls, hooking a third-inning slider out to right field for a solo shot before lofting a fastball to left-center in the sixth for a three-run blast. Lowe has five homers on the season in 27 games, with three of them coming in the last four contests. If he can stay healthy, he seems poised for a big surge heading into the All-Star break. • Kutter Crawford gives up three homers in loss
Kutter Crawford surrendered five runs — three earned — in 6 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Reds.

Advice: Crawford surrendered three homers tonight, bringing his total allowed to seven in his last three starts. He’s given up at least one in seven straight outings. Odds are that Crawford will bounce back from this, but he’s never been more than a fringy mixed-league option in a bad situation for pitchers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:40 pm
    • Takes blown save, loss
Duran (3-3) allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one over one inning Friday, taking the loss and a blown save versus the Athletics.

Advice: Duran served up a two-run home run to Shea Langeliers after being called upon to protect a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning. This was Duran's first blown save of the year -- he's converted 11 saves and added four holds over 24 appearances. The closer has a 3.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 21:8 K:BB through 23 innings. • Jhoan Duran blows save in eighth against A’s
Jhoan Duran blew a save while allowing two runs and also picked up a loss to the A’s on Friday.

Advice: Duran has lost three games in 2024, but this was technically his first blown save of the year. The right-hander came in during the eighth, but gave up a hit to Daz Cameron and then a two-run blast to Shea Langeliers. A disappointing effort for fantasy teams and the Twins, but Duran should still be counted on going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm
    • Was available Friday
Manager Aaron Boone indicated after Friday's game that Torres (groin) was available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Despite being available, Torres never entered the contest, leaving his status for Saturday's game in question. Jahmai Jones or Oswaldo Cabrera would likely enter the lineup if Torres remains on the bench. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 pm
