    • Homers, drives in two in win
Morel went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Morel hit an RBI single in the first inning then crushed a 446-foot solo home run in the third. Morel's .209 average so far in June is actually his highest of any month this season, and the homer was his fourth in 19 June games. The 24-year-old is hitting just .202 to date but does have 14 home runs and 43 RBI over 267 at-bats in 2024. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

    • Cruz blasts 10th home run in win Saturday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz’ home run was his 10th of the year. The solo shot came against Rays starter Zach Eflin in the first inning with two outs. It was Cruz’ first home run since June 8th. While he hits the ball hard when he connects, Cruz’ 32 percent strikeout percentage is still quite high. Maybe he’ll get his power stroke going in the second half of the year to help prop up all the strikeouts.

    • Oneil Cruz homers, scores twice in win over Rays
Oneil Cruz homered and scored two runs in a 4-2 win for the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz obliterated a Zack Eflin pitch for a 445-foot dinger to tie the game at 1-1 in the first. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and came around to score a few batters later. There are going to be ups and downs with Cruz, but the power is obviously legitimate, and helps mitigate some of the contact issues. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 pm

    • Christopher Morel wallops 446-foot homer in win
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday, powering the Cubs to an 8-1 blowout victory over the Mets.

Advice: Morel contributed a run-scoring single as part of Chicago’s five-run opening frame against Mets starter Tylor Megill before clobbering a gargantuan 446-foot solo shot to left-center field -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- a couple innings later. It was a much-needed tater for Morel, who hadn’t gone deep since June 11. Rotoworld Today, 2:19 pm

    • Gleyber Torres returns to lineup on Saturday
Gleyber Torres (groin) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Braves.

Advice: Torres sat out Friday’s series opener following an early exit from Thursday’s game due to right groin tightness. It’s a positive sign that he’s back in the lineup and it confirms the belief from Yankees manager Aaron Boone that Torres wasn’t dealing with anything major. Rotoworld Today, 12:01 pm

    • Back in lineup Saturday
Torres (groin) is starting at second base and batting seventh for Saturday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Torres left in the sixth inning of Thursday's game against the Orioles due to tightness in his right groin. He was held out of Friday's game as a precaution and is back in the lineup Saturday. For the month of June, Torres is slashing .194/.268/.387 with three home runs and 12 RBI over 62 at-bats. • Kyle Tucker (shin) hasn’t resumed baseball activity
MLB.com’s Brian McTaggart reports Kyle Tucker (shin) has yet to resume baseball activities.

Advice: Tucker is still walking with a limp and has yet to resume any baseball activities at this juncture. There was some optimism earlier this week that he was getting close, but clearly is still going to need some extra time to recover. There isn’t a definitive timeline for his return to Houston’s lineup at this point. He’s been out since early June recovering from a shin contusion. It’s fair to wonder if he’s dealing with something more serious like a hairline fracture at this point. There should be some clarity on his status at some point in the near future. • Goes yard twice in Pittsburgh
Lowe went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 10-3 win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder touched up Luis Ortiz for both his long balls, hooking a third-inning slider out to right field for a solo shot before lofting a fastball to left-center in the sixth for a three-run blast. Lowe has five homers on the season in 27 games, with three of them coming in the last four contests. If he can stay healthy, he seems poised for a big surge heading into the All-Star break. • Was available Friday
Manager Aaron Boone indicated after Friday's game that Torres (groin) was available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Despite being available, Torres never entered the contest, leaving his status for Saturday's game in question. Jahmai Jones or Oswaldo Cabrera would likely enter the lineup if Torres remains on the bench. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:29 pm
