    • Making first start Wednesday
      Williams (elbow), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list earlier Sunday, is scheduled to make his first start of the season for the Guardians on Wednesday versus the White Sox at Progressive Field.

      Advice: Williams' 30-day rehab window came to a close Sunday, so the Guardians brought him back from the IL a few days before he's set to make his 2024 MLB debut. The right-hander submitted a 7.88 ERA and 2.00 WHIP across eight innings over his first four rehab starts with Triple-A Columbus, but he looked strong his last two times out, turning in five- and four-inning starts while allowing two total runs and submitting a 10:2 K:BB between those outings. The Guardians will likely keep the 24-year-old's workload in check to some extent Wednesday, but based on how he concluded his rehab assignment, Williams might be worthy of activating this week while he faces off against a weak White Sox lineup.       Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-5 with a home run, double, walk, three RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday against the Astros.

      Advice: Nimmo’s two extra-base hits came at extremely clutch times for the Mets: his two-run homer, the 100th of his career, tied this game in the seventh and his RBI double again brought the Mets even in extra innings. His resurgence over the last few weeks has been a spectacle as he’s pulled his OPS up from .708 on June 13th to .815 today. He’s found a home in the two-hole of the Mets’ lineup and is on pace for 26 homers, 30 doubles, 106 runs scored, 100 RBI, and 10 stolen bases this season. That is the statline of a bona fide stud.       Jhoan Duran fired a perfect ninth inning on Sunday against the Mariners to collect his 12th save of the season.

      Advice: Duran turned in a scoreless outing for the 10th time in 12 appearances since the start of June as he needed just 19 pitches (13 strikes) to slam the door in this one. The hard-throwing 26-year-old righty has converted 12 of his 13 save opportunities this season to accompany a solid 3.51 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 23/8 K/BB ratio across 25 2/3 innings (27 appearances).       Bradley (3-4) earned the win Sunday, allowing no runs on three hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Nationals. He struck out 11.

      Advice: Bradley held the Nationals off the board while matching a season high in strikeouts. Since allowing nine runs and four homers against Baltimore on June 1, Bradley has been on a heater, posting five-consecutive starts allowing two earned runs or fewer while accumulating double-digit strikeout totals during two of those outings. During that stretch, he's completed 29 innings, allowing just four earned runs (1.24 ERA) with a 1.00 WHIP and 40 strikeouts.       Hunter Greene allowed one run in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Sunday.



      Advice: Greene gave up four hits, walked two and struck out six. It was certainly better than his last start where he allowed six runs, but the Cardinals worked up his pitch count and he was unable to complete even five innings. Greene has a 3.70 ERA and 4.29 xFIP on the season. The 24-year-old right-hander is set to face the Tigers at home next weekend.

      Aaron Judge went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Sunday against the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Devers gave his team an early lead with his first-inning blast, his fourth homer in his last five games. The Red Sox slugger has broken out of a slump in which he only hit one home run over 15 games. Devers now has 14 extra-base hits and a 1.027 OPS in June, both leading all MLB third basemen.       Taj Bradley blanked the Nationals over 5 2/3 innings in a 5-0 win on Sunday. He struck out 11 and walked two.

      Advice: Bradley was dominant in this one. The 11 punch outs matched his season-high and the Nationals were helpless against his terrific fastball. Living in the top of the zone, it forced 10 swings and misses and brilliantly set up his diving splitter. Bradley looks every bit the top-end starter he was billed as.       Cruz went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a strikeout in Sunday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Cruz hit a 452-foot missile off Spencer Schwellenbach in the fifth inning to give the Pirates a lead they wouldn't relinquish. It was the third longest homer of his career, and it had an exit velocity of 117.3 MPH, which is also the third hardest of his career. There have been five home runs with exit velocities of 117 or more this season, and Cruz has two of them.
