    • Launches game-tying homer
Springer went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run during Sunday's 5-4 win over Seattle in 10 innings.

Advice: Springer came through for the Blue Jays, knotting the game at 4-4 in the seventh inning with a three-run home run off Ryne Stanek. The outfielder has led off in each of his last four starts, batting 5-for-14 with five runs scored, four walks and three strikeouts. On the year, Springer owns a .672 OPS, which would be a career worst if it stands. Rotowire.com Today, 12:52 am

    • George Springer blasts three-run homer as Jays win
George Springer continued his hot hitting in Sunday’s extra-inning 5-4 victory over the Mariners, going 1-for-5 with a three-run homer.

Advice: Springer turned the game on its head and started the comeback for the Jays, crushing a game-tying 400-foot (106.9 mph EV) three-run homer off of Ryne Stanek in the seventh inning that knotted things up at 4-4. That would be his only hit on the night but played a critical role in the come-from-behind victory. On the season, the 34-year-old outfielder is now slashing .221/.311/.361 with 10 homers and 31 RBI. • Christian Yelich homers, plates three to lead Crew
Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with a homer, double, three runs scored and three RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Brewers to a 9-2 rout of the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Advice: Yelich opened the scoring in Sunday’s contest with a 418-foot (107.2 mph EV) two-run blast off of rookie left-hander Justin Wrobleski in the fourth inning. He then singled and scored on a two-run knock by Blake Perkins in the eighth inning. Yelich also tacked on an RBI double in the ninth and scored on a double by Garrett Mitchell. He’s having an outstanding season in the middle of the Brewers’ lineup, slashing .329/.407/.533 with 11 homers, 41 RBI and 19 stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:12 pm
    • Shohei Ohtani swipes two bags in loss to Brewers
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-5 and stole a pair of bases as the Dodgers fell to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: Ohtani smacked a one-out single off of Dallas Keuchel in the third inning then proceeded to swipe second and third base before getting stranded there. He has now eclipsed the 20-steal plateau for the third time in his career and has already matched his total from the 2023 season. The 30-year-old superstar is slashing .314/.399/.637 with 28 homers, 65 RBI and 20 stolen bases through his first 88 games with the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:08 pm

    • Cody Bellinger goes 0-for-4 in second straight
Cody Bellinger went 0-for-4 for a second straight game Sunday against the Angels.

Advice: Bellinger’s batting average has been holding steady, but he has just one homer and six doubles since the beginning of June. In his first 43 games this season, he hit .267/.332/.471 with 26 RBI. In his last 34 games, he’s come in at .265/.319/.333 with 11 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:12 pm

    • Roughed up in loss
Mercado (1-1) took the loss Sunday against Atlanta. He allowed five runs on five hits, three walks and a strikeout over 1.2 innings.

Advice: Mercado was given another start after a solid outing against the Cubs on Tuesday. Unfortunately, the rookie right-hander was chased early on Sunday after allowing three homers in the second inning. It was the shortest outing by a Phillies starter this season. With Taijuan Walker (finger) and Spencer Turnbull (lat) both out through the All-Star break, Mercado should be given more opportunities to gain valuable experience. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:18 pm
    • Michael Mercado blown up by Braves
Michael Mercado allowed five earned runs in just 1 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Braves. He also walked three batters and struck out just one.

Advice: Mercado just could not follow up his fantastic first start. He walked three batters in the first inning and was clearly being careful with the top of the Braves’ lineup. Then, they flipped the order over in the second inning and it was open season. Mercado was mercifully pulled after Matt Olson took him deep for Atlanta’s third home run of the inning. This was a start to flush and get rid of. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:16 pm
    • Reaches base five times in win
Ohtani went 2-for-2 with a home run, a triple, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-3 win over Milwaukee. He also drew two walks and was hit by a pitch.

Advice: Ohtani drew a leadoff walk in his first trip to the plate before coming home on a Will Smith home run in the following at-bat. The superstar slugger then swiped his 18th bag of the season in the second inning after being hit by a pitch and later added a 430-foot home run of his own to extend the Dodgers' lead to two runs in the eighth. The long ball was his 28th on the campaign, good for second in the majors behind Aaron Judge. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:15 am

    • Notches first big-league victory
Rodriguez (1-3) earned the win over Seattle on Saturday, pitching six scoreless innings during which he allowed one run and two walks while striking out six batters.

Advice: Rodriguez finished without allowing a run for the first time through seven big-league starts and gathered his first win. He induced a modest eight swinging strikes but still managed a healthy six punchouts. This was the second straight quality start for the rookie right-hander, and he's allowed just one run over 12.2 frames while posting a 12:4 K:BB across the two-game stretch.
