    • Early exit in first loss of year
Suarez (3-1) took the loss Tuesday, giving up three runs on six hits and five walks over 3.2 innings as the Orioles were downed 4-2 by the Yankees. He struck out three.

Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander also hit Aaron Judge with a pitch in his worst performance of the season, as Suarez tossed only 49 of 96 pitches for strikes. His control has been slipping since he returned to the rotation in late May -- over his last five starts, Suarez has a 19:13 K:BB in 23 innings despite a superficially strong 2.35 ERA. With Dean Kremer (triceps) closing in on a return and Cade Povich coming off an impressive outing against Atlanta, Suarez could wind up getting bumped to the bullpen once again. He should get at least one more turn in the rotation however, a road start this weekend in Houston. Rotowire.com Today, 7:04 am
    • Solid in no-decision
Bassitt didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Boston, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Bassitt allowed fewer than four runs for a ninth consecutive start, stranding five Red Sox across six innings. The 35-year-old surrendered at least seven hits for the fourth time this season but wound up generating his seventh quality start of the campaign. Through 64.1 innings, Bassitt owns a 3.52 ERA and an 81:34 K:BB. He's tentatively scheduled for a rematch with the Red Sox in Boston early next week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:05 am

    • Bassitt allows two earned runs in loss to Red Sox
Chris Bassitt allowed two earned runs over six innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Despite allowing nine baserunners on the evening, Bassitt managed to hold the Red Sox to just two earned runs, and pitched out of a jam with runners on to close out the sixth inning. The veteran righty continues to be a solid option in the middle of the Jays’ rotation, and has allowed just four earned runs over 18 innings in the month of June. Bassitt will get another crack at the Red Sox in his next start on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm

    • Considered day-to-day
Manager Brandon Hyde said that Westburg was diagnosed with a bruised left hip following Tuesday's loss to the Yankees, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Westburg collided with Juan Soto during the first inning of Tuesday's contest and eventually had to leave the game in the second. He appears to have avoided any significant damage, and it's possible he could return to Baltimore's lineup Wednesday without missing any games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm

    • Albert Suárez struggles in loss to Yankees
Albert Suárez allowed three earned runs over 3 2/3 innings while striking out three in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Suárez got through the first inning unscathed but ran into trouble in the second inning after a one-out walk to Gleyber Torres. Austin Wells doubled in the following at-bat and was eventually driven in by an Anthony Volpe double. He got out of the jam with just the one run allowed but kicked off the third inning by hitting Aaron Judge with a pitch and allowing a long single to Alex Verdugo. Giancarlo Stanton singled to drive home Judge. Suárez didn’t make it out of the fourth inning after being pulled with two outs following a walk to Stanton. Suárez walked a season-high five batters in this one. He’ll look to bounce back in his next start, which is set for Sunday against the Astros. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:18 pm
    • Jordan Westburg day-to-day with hip soreness
Jordan Westburg is day-to-day with left hip soreness.

Advice: Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters following Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees that Westburg is pretty sore, but it doesn’t sound like he suffered a significant injury when he collided at an awkward angle with Juan Soto during the opening frame of the contest, which led to his early exit. The 25-year-old infielder will likely sit out a couple games moving forward, but it doesn’t appear that he’s headed to the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Jordan Westburg leaves game with hip discomfort
Jordan Westburg was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Yankees with left hip discomfort.

Advice: Westburg collided awkwardly with Yankees slugger Juan Soto while fielding a first-inning grounder at third base and was lifted from the contest in the ensuing frame. It sounds like his early exit was merely for precautionary reasons, but he’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to rule out anything serious. The 25-year-old holds an .836 OPS with 11 homers and six steals in 275 plate appearances this season. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:19 pm

    • Exits early with hip injury
Westburg left Tuesday's contest with the Yankees in the bottom of the second inning with left hip discomfort, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Westburg struck out swinging to open the game in the top of the first inning and he was later removed from the contest in the bottom of the second. Westburg will certainly undergo imaging on his hip to determine the severity of the injury, but in the meantime, Ramon Urias has replaced him at third base against New York. • Yordan Alvarez out Tuesday due to family matter
Yordan Alvarez is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the White Sox due to a family matter.

Advice: The positive news here for fantasy managers is that Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Alvarez could return as early as Wednesday. The 26-year-old slugger, who boasts a stellar .873 OPS with 14 homers and a career-high three steals this season through 71 games, is getting his first off day since May 18.
