    • Posts three hits Friday
Arenado went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Friday's 10-6 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Arenado had gone 5-for-38 with no multi-hit efforts and a 1:10 BB:K over his previous nine contests. The third baseman hasn't stumbled as much as some of his teammates, but he's still in the midst of a down year, especially from a power standpoint. He's slashing .268/.323/.375 with three home runs, 22 RBI, 17 runs scored and nine doubles over 43 games on the year. Arenado hasn't hit fewer than 20 homers in a full-length campaign since 2014, and he's never slugged lower than .405 over a full year in his career, but he's got a lot of work to do to get back to those levels in 2024. • Clay Holmes nails down 13th save
Clay Holmes struck out two White Sox to earn the save on Friday. He also walked one.

Advice: Holmes has arguably been the best relief pitcher in baseball this season not named Mason Miller. Yet to allow an earned run, he suppresses hard contact at an impressive clip and is running a career best 29 K%. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:08 pm

    • Aaron Judge homers again in win
Aaron Judge went 1-for-1 with a solo home run and three walks in a win over the White Sox on Friday.

Advice: Judge has been retired just once in three games as his scalding hot streak continues. He has six home runs in his last 46 at-bats and his .981 OPS is suddenly sixth among all qualified hitters. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm

    • Falls to Phillies
Irvin (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Phillies, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Irvin got off to a shaky start Friday, allowing all four runs over his first three innings. The 27-year-old right-hander had allowed just four earned runs in his previous three starts (18 innings), striking out 13 while issuing just one walk in that span. Overall, Irvin has a solid 3.91 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 38:9 K:BB over nine starts (50.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Twins in his next outing. • Rebounds vs. Nats
Wheeler (5-3) earned the win Friday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over 7.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It was an encouraging return to form for Wheeler, after he was tagged for six runs in four innings in his last start against Miami. Before that outing, Wheeler had allowed just one earned run over four starts (25.1 innings). He's now won five of his last six starts while lowering his ERA to 2.52 with a 0.97 WHIP and 71:19 K:BB over 60.2 innings this season. Wheeler is currently in line for a home matchup with the Rangers in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:20 pm
    • Zack Wheeler fans six in victory over Nationals
Zack Wheeler picked up his fifth victory of the season on Friday night, holding the Nationals to just two runs on three hits over 7 1/3 strong innings of work.

Advice: The 33-year-old right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the night while issuing three free passes. The Nationals’ scoring in the contest came on a pair of RBI doubles — one by Keibert Ruiz in the second inning and another off the bat of Eddie Rosario in the fifth. Aside from that though, Wheeler was in complete control. He got 17 swings and misses on 104 pitches on the night — 10 on his fastball alone — while posting a CSW of 28 percent. Now 5-3 on the season, Wheeler will carry a 2.52 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 71/19 K/BB ratio (60 2/3 innings) into Thursday’s showdown against the Rangers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:00 pm
    • Jake Irvin gives up four runs in loss to Phillies
Jake Irvin wasn’t at his best in a losing effort against the Phillies on Friday night, giving up four runs on five hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 27-year-old hurler walked one and struck out two batters on the night. The Phillies got him for a run in the first inning on an RBI double by Alec Bohm, then scratched out a pair of runs in the second inning and added another in the third on an RBI double by Brandon Marsh. Irvin got 10 swings and misses on 93 pitches on the evening — seven of those on his curveball — while registering a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he brings a 3.91 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and a 38/9 K/BB ratio (50 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Twins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:59 pm

    • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) could need IL stint
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) remains out of the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Orioles.

Advice: There had been an expectation that the 30-year-old second baseman would be ready to return on Friday night after three straight days off, but alas it was not to be. The Mariners are now saying that he may miss the entire series against the Orioles and could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list. Stay tuned. Josh Rojas will slide over and cover second base in his absence on Friday while Luis Urias starts at the hot corner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:51 pm

Polanco (hamstring) isn't in the Mariners' lineup Friday at Baltimore.

Advice: Polanco will miss a third straight game with right hamstring soreness. Once again, Josh Rojas will slide to second base while Luis Urias starts at third. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:13 pm
