    • Patrick Bailey doubles twice, plates three in win
Patrick Bailey went 2-for-5 with three RBI on Sunday in the Giants’ lopsided victory over the Dodgers.

Advice: Bailey’s impressive offensive breakout continued in this one with run-scoring doubles in the fourth and eighth inning, respectively, as part of a 10-run, 16-hit offensive explosion for San Francisco in this one. The 25-year-old backstop holds an impressive .284/.353/.433 triple-slash line with six homers and two steals in 222 plate appearances through 59 games so far. Rotoworld Today, 3:36 pm

    • Spencer Bivens shines Sunday in first career start
Spencer Bivens struck out three over five innings of one-run ball on Sunday in a win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Bivens flummoxed Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup for four frames in his first career start, and also got plenty of run support from San Francisco’s lineup, which put up nine runs on 12 hits through four frames to open the contest. A one-out solo shot from Chris Taylor in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. It was an impressive showing for the unheralded 30-year-old journeyman who holds a stellar 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14/4 K/BB ratio across 14 innings (six appearances, one start). No guarantees yet, but Bivens is in line to face the Guardians on Saturday, and represents an increasingly intriguing streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues. • Opening Sunday's game
Bivins will serve as the Giants' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: The right-hander has made five appearances since he received his first call-up to the majors in mid-June, and he'll make his first big-league start Sunday versus Los Angeles. Bivens last pitched Thursday versus the Cubs and covered one inning, and he's topped out at 49 pitches since joining the Giants. He should be able to provide some length but likely won't handle a full starter's workload. Slusser suggests that Landen Roupp -- whom the Giants called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday -- will likely work multiple innings in relief behind Bivens. Rotowire.com Today, 9:09 am

    • Three hits, RBI in loss
Chapman went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman doubled in his first at-bat before then getting caught trying to steal second. He then drove home Heliot Ramos with an infield single in the following frame before eventually going on to reach a total of four times in the contest. It marked Chapman's fourth three-hit performance this season and his first since May 18 against the Rockies. The third baseman has also hit safely in six straight games, posting two homers, six RBI and six runs scored over that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 8:38 am

    • RBI streak at six games
Pasquantino went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: The first baseman opened the scoring for his squad in the first inning by taking Tanner Bibee deep, but the Royals' offense dried up after that. Pasquantino has gone yard in back-to-back games and has a six-game RBI streak going, batting .348 (8-for-23) over that stretch with a double, three homers and eight RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 4:19 am
    • Set to start bullpen game
Dubin will start Sunday against the Mets in what's expected to be a bullpen day for the Astros, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Dubin hasn't covered more than three innings in any of his appearances in the majors and minors this season, so that likely represents the upper bound of his workload as he takes the hill for what will be his second MLB career start. The Astros don't have an obvious candidate to work in bulk relief behind Dubin, but the team could call up a pitcher from Triple-A Sugar Land ahead of Sunday's contest to provide the bullpen with another fresh arm. • Takes tough loss Friday
Miller (4-6) allowed three runs on three hits across an inning of work and took the loss Friday against the Angels. He struck out two.

Advice: Miller allowed two hits but had a chance to escape the eighth inning with no damage before he allowed a two-out, three-run home run to Logan O'Hoppe. The veteran righty had been pitching well this month with a 2.25 ERA across seven appearances. However, Miller now has a subpar 4.62 ERA overall, which he'll work on lowering in the coming weeks. • Homer, steal in win
Chapman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 5-3 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman's power has come back, as he has three extra-base hits -- including two homers -- over his last five games. The third baseman gave the Giants their first lead Friday with his sixth-inning blast. For the season, he's up to 10 homers, 35 RBI, 53 runs scored and seven steals while posting a .235/.316/.399 slash line over 80 contests. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:37 pm

    • Matt Chapman homers, steals base in victory
Matt Chapman stole a base and hit a two-run homer in a win for the Giants on Friday over the Dodgers.

Advice: Chapman hit a two-run homer off Daniel Hudson for his 10th homer of the season, and he stole his seventh bag of the year for good measure. The 31-year-old has been a mild disappointment thus far in 2024 — depending on expectations, of course — with a .235/.316/.399 slash, but the homers and steals have help balance things out a bit.
