    • Evan Carter (back) progressing towards return
Evan Carter (back) is expected to progress to facing live pitching again this week.

Advice: Carter resumes swinging a bat earlier this week and should be ready to face some actual live pitching in the coming days. The 21-year-old former top prospect landed on the injured list back in early June with a stress reaction in his back and was expected to miss at least one month. He’s going to need a minor league rehab assignment to get back up to speed, but it sounds like he could be back before the end of July, barring any setbacks. Rotoworld Today, 5:38 pm

    • IKF week-to-week with right knee sprain
Isiah Kiner-Falefa is week-to-week with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday that Kiner-Falefa is going to require more than a minimum stay on the injured list after suffering a right knee sprain. There isn’t an official timeline for his return, but the absence of any sort of clarity means he’s most likely out until after the All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 5:35 pm

    • Harrison Bader makes precautionary exit Tuesday
Harrison Bader was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Nationals for precautionary reasons after an awkward collision with the right-center field wall.

Advice: The Mets declined to cite a specific reason for Bader’s removal from the contest. However, MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo notes that his left arm hit the right-center field wall awkwardly during that third-inning collision and he appeared pretty shaken up afterwards. It’s possible he’ll be evaluated for a concussion as well just to be safe. There should be some sort of update on his status following the contest. Rotoworld Today, 5:08 pm

    • Exits early Tuesday
Bader was removed from Tuesday's game against the Nationals due to an apparent injury, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Bader crashed into the outfield wall while attempting to make a catch in the third inning, and he was replaced in center field by Brandon Nimmo (forehead) to begin the fourth. It's not immediately clear what is bothering Bader, but the Mets will take a closer look at him and should offer more details relatively soon. Rotowire.com Today, 4:51 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Hoskins isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: After recording a base hit in 10 of his last 11 games, Hoskins was held to 0-for-4 with a sacrifice fly during Monday's loss in the series opener. He'll now sit against Ryan Feltner and the Rockies on Tuesday, putting Jake Bauers at first base while Christian Yelich serves as the Brewers' DH, opening a spot in left field for Jackson Chourio. • Javier Báez (back) starting rehab assignment
Javier Báez (back) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: Báez has been on the shelf since mid-June due to back inflammation and will likely need at least a handful of rehab contests to get back up to speed. It would be an understatement to say that his time in Detroit has been a colossal disappointment since signing a six-year, $140 million deal as a free agent back in 2022. Rotoworld Today, 2:06 pm

    • Hitting injured list
Kiner-Falefa was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left knee sprain.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa was scratched from Monday's game with a left knee injury and an MRI revealed he's only dealing with a sprain. Still, the utility player will require an IL stint, opening up a spot on the active roster for Leo Jimenez. Kiner-Falefa is slashing .292/.338/.420 with a 13.2 percent K rate this season. • Blue Jays place Kiner-Falefa (knee) on 10-day IL
Blue Jays placed INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa on the 10-day injured list with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Falefa was scratched from Monday’s lineup due to pain in his left knee, and the Blue Jays will have the infielder miss at least a week-plus while he gets better. He underwent an MRI after the injury, and while the results haven’t been made public yet, it couldn’t have been too good of news if he’s going to miss time. Leo Jimenez has been recalled from Triple-A to replace Kiner-Falefa on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 12:21 pm

    • Two stolen bases against Nats
Bader went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Monday's extra-inning win over the Nationals.

Advice: Batting second against southpaw MacKenzie Gore, Bader was disruptive from the top of the order, singling and swiping second base in the sixth and seventh innings. The 30-year-old center fielder has reeled off four two-hit performances in his last six starts, batting .360 (9-for-25) during that stretch with three doubles, two homers, four steals, four RBI and eight runs.
