    • Converts on save
Green picked up the save Tuesday against Houston, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning.

Advice: Green has stepped into a temporary ninth-inning role with Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow) shelved. Though the pair have been sidelined for multiple weeks, Tuesday's contest was the first save opportunity offered since and Green stepped up and converted. Green has been exceptional for the Blue Jays this season, posting a 1.37 ERA with a 17:4 K:BB across 19.2 innings. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:53 pm
    • Rebounds in rematch
Spence (5-4) allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Spence was tagged for six runs over 5.1 innings in his last start, which was also against the Angels. He bounced back this time, limiting the damage on his line to a Nolan Schanuel sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Spence is still looking for consistency as a starter, but he has been able to complete at least five frames in each of his last seven outings. He's at a 4.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 61:17 K:BB over 73.2 innings through 20 appearances (nine starts) overall. The 26-year-old is projected for a tough home start versus the Orioles this weekend. • Mitch Spence fans five in victory over Angels
Mitch Spence was terrific in Tuesday night’s victory over the Angels, allowing just one run on six hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: Spence piled up five strikeouts on the night while allowing only one base on balls. The lone tally against him came in the fifth inning as Nolan Schanuel plated Brandon Drury with a sacrifice fly. Spence generated nine swings and misses on 94 pitches on the night — four each on his cutter and slider — while posting an underwhelming CSW of 21 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, the 26-year-old hurler will tote a 4.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 61/17 K/BB ratio (73 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s battle against the hot-hitting Orioles. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:04 pm
    • Chad Green narrowly escapes with save vs. Astros
Chad Green tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Astos to record his third save of the season.

Advice: Green surrendered a leadoff double before striking out Joey Loperfido and Trey Cabbage before getting Jose Altuve to fly out to end the game. It was just his third save of the season, but the veteran has been tremendous with a 1.37 ERA. With Yimi García nearing his return, Green may not see many more save opportunities, but he’s worth rostering in the meantime. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:05 pm
    • Remaining out Tuesday
Garver (wrist) isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Garver will get an extra day to recover Tuesday after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch during Sunday's loss to Minnesota. His absence will allow Mitch Haniger to serve as Seattle's designated hitter while batting eighth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:24 pm
    • Facing hitters this week
Stewart (shoulder) will throw two live batting practice sessions this week, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: If he comes out of them with no concerns, a rehab assignment could be next. Stewart has been out with right shoulder tendinitis since early May but looks to be tracking toward a return around the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:58 pm

    • Sitting out Tuesday
Pham is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

Advice: Pham had been the White Sox' leadoff man for each of the previous 16 contests, but he will begin Tuesday's festivities on the bench. Chicago will go with Gavin Sheets in right field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:53 pm

    • Suffers loss Sunday
Stanek (5-2) took the loss Sunday against the Twins, allowing two runs on two hits over an inning's work.

Advice: Stanek entered in the eighth with the game tied at 3-3 after the Mariners were able to knot things up in the bottom of the seventh. He picked up a quick first out but then allowed a base knock followed by a two-run homer to Trevor Larnach, which ultimately decided the game. Sunday ended an 8.2 innings scoreless streak for Stanek, which spanned 10 games. He compiled three saves, two holds and two wins while owning an 11:1 K:BB during that period. The 32-year-old has been dependable for much of the year, owning a 3.78 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB in 33.1 innings. Rotowire.com Jul 1, 2:54 am
    • Debuts as pinch hitter
Schunk went 0-for-1 on Saturday against the White Sox.

Advice: Schunk entered Saturday's game as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning to make his major-league debut. He had his contract selected Friday, though it's unclear how much playing time he'll receive with Brendan Rodgers and Ryan McMahon locked in as starters at second base and third base, respectively.
