• Sitting against RHP
Gordon is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Gordon is riding a seven-game hit steak, but he'll be idle for a second consecutive contest despite righty Kutter Crawford being on the mound for Boston. Bryan De La Cruz will fill left field and bat second Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:51 am

  • Taking seat Tuesday
Olivares is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals.

Advice: He's been the preferred option over Connor Joe in right field for the Pirates lately, but Joe is getting the call there for Tuesday's contest. Olivares had started seven of the previous eight contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:42 am
  • Two stolen bases against Nats
Bader went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Monday's extra-inning win over the Nationals.

Advice: Batting second against southpaw MacKenzie Gore, Bader was disruptive from the top of the order, singling and swiping second base in the sixth and seventh innings. The 30-year-old center fielder has reeled off four two-hit performances in his last six starts, batting .360 (9-for-25) during that stretch with three doubles, two homers, four steals, four RBI and eight runs. • Daulton Varsho goes hitless versus Astros
Daulton Varsho went hitless in a seventh consecutive start Monday, finishing 0-for-3 with a walk against the Astros.

Advice: Varsho did get a hit off the bench Saturday, but he’s 1-for-28 with 13 strikeouts since June 19, dropping his average to .197. There’s too much homer and steal potential here to make Varsho droppable in fantasy leagues, but it’s tempting. Of course, he’s especially valuable in 6x6 leagues that include 280-foot flyouts as a category. Rotoworld Monday, 3:15 pm

  • Leads charge Sunday
Malloy went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Malloy's blast in the fourth inning, his third of the season, extended the Detroit lead to 4-0. The rookie has gotten off to a sluggish start in the majors, as he's still batting only .175 with a 38 percent strikeout rate after Sunday. Despite the struggles, Malloy has good power potential, and his prospect pedigree suggests that he'll figure it out at some point. However, fantasy managers may have to remain patient in the short term. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:39 pm
  • Justyn-Henry Malloy homers, Tigers edge Angels
Justyn-Henry Malloy went 2-for-3 with an inside-the-park homer on Sunday, leading the Tigers to a 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Malloy has compiled cringe-inducing numbers this season since getting the call to the majors back in early June, but he made his presence felt in this one with a two-run, inside-the-park homer off Angels southpaw Tyler Anderson in the fourth inning. It was just his third big fly in 23 games so far in the big leagues as he’s also struck out 28 times in 73 plate appearances during that span. The 24-year-old was an on-base machine in the upper minors, but he’s still clearly a work in progress at the highest level. The big question will be how long the Tigers are going to be willing to let him continue to try to figure things out. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:07 pm
  • Taking seat Sunday
Schuemann is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Schuemann has gone 5-for-41 (.122 average) with a 32.1 percent strikeout rate in his past 13 games and will sit for Sunday's series finale in Arizona. Aledmys Diaz will take over at shortstop and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:50 pm

  • Not in Sunday's lineup
Bader is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Bader started the previous five games and will take a seat Sunday after going 6-for-20 with three doubles, two homers and two steals during that span. Brandon Nimmo will move to center field while Ben Gamel starts in left for the series finale versus Houston. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:27 am

  • Taking seat against southpaw
Gordon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Gordon will retreat to the bench while the Phillies send southpaw Ranger Suarez to the hill. Bryan De La Cruz will cover left field in Gordon's stead. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:16 am
