    Luis Arraez went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI on Sunday afternoon as the Padres fell to the Brewers.

    Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old got the Padres on the board with a two-out RBI single off of Tobias Myers in the fifth inning. With his two-hit attack, Arraez is now hitting .315/.350/.385 with just two homers, 22 RBI and three stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:55 pm
     
  • Edmundo Sosa out Sunday with left elbow contusion
    Edmundo Sosa (elbow) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: It doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see Sosa on the bench following his early exit from Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks being hit by a pitch on the left elbow.   • Suffers left elbow bruise
    Sosa was diagnosed with a left elbow contusion after being hit by a pitch in the fifth inning of Saturday's 12-1 win over the Diamondbacks, Brooke Destra of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

    Arraez went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 9-5 win over the Brewers.

    Advice: Arraez entered Friday with just four hits over his last six games, an unusual lack of production for the contact-heavy infielder. He made an impact with his lone knock Friday, sparking the Padres' comeback with a fifth-inning blast. Over 76 games between the Padres and the Marlins this year, he's slashing .314/.349/.385 with two homers, 21 RBI, 43 runs scored, 15 doubles, a triple and three stolen bases. He's the only player in the majors with over 100 hits so far in 2024, but that's led to his usual empty batting average, as he offers little in the way of power or speed and won't generate many RBI as a leadoff hitter.     Advice: Machado has multiple hits in four of his last five games, going 10-for-21 in that span. The third baseman was batting just .240 at the start of June, but he's pushed that up to .263 with a .704 OPS, seven home runs, five stolen bases, 37 RBI and 32 runs scored across 72 contests this season.     Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

    Advice: Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started the game on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month.     Luis Arraez hit a two-run homer against the Brewers on Friday in a win for the Padres.

    Advice: Arraez is not known for his power, but the 27-year-old was able to golf out a pitch down and in for his second homer of the season.   • Dodgers transfer Max Muncy to 60-day IL
    Dodgers transferred INF Max Muncy to the 60-day injured list.

    Advice: The 33-year-old slugger has been shelved since May 17 due to a right oblique strain. There’s still no clear timetable for when he may be able to rejoin the Dodgers, though he now won’t be eligible to return until July 16 at the earliest.
