• Homers in loss
France went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 loss to the Rays.

Advice: France singled in the third inning and hit a 427-foot two-run home run in the fifth. He had been mired in a 1-for-20 slump since returning from the IL with a heel injury June 18, and the homer was his first since May 31. On the season, the first baseman is hitting .238 with eight home runs and 29 RBI over 235 at-bats. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

  • Ty France has two hits, HR in loss
Ty France went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: France had a 98 mph single in the third inning and then followed that up with a 105 mph home run that traveled 427 feet in the fifth inning. It was his eighth home run on the season to go along with 29 RBI. France famously went to Driveline this offseason to try to find his power swing and while the results weren’t immediate, he had been showcasing improved power before going on the IL with a fractured heel. It’s not to see that the power stroke has come off the IL with him. Rotoworld Today, 6:34 pm

  • Getting Tuesday off
Flores isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Flores will take a seat Tuesday after going 0-for-4 with an RBI and a walk during Monday's victory. David Villar will take over at first base and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:39 pm

  • Sitting against lefty
Black isn't in the Brewers' lineup Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Black will take a seat Tuesday as the Rangers prepare to send left-hander Andrew Heaney to the mound. Rhys Hoskins will start at first base while Gary Sanchez works as Milwaukee's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 3:14 pm

  • Back from IL
The Angels reinstated Sano (knee) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Knee inflammation has kept Sano sidelined since the beginning of May. He was medically cleared to return from the IL on Saturday; however, poor performance during his rehab assignment combined with a cluttered Angels roster caused him to remain at Triple-A Salt Lake for a few additional days. He went 6-for-10 with a homer and four RBI in his last two rehab games and will now rejoin the Halos' infield unit, replacing Michael Stefanic. Rotowire.com Today, 2:46 pm

  • Angels activate Miguel Sanó for Tuesday return
Angels activated INF Miguel Sanó from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Sanó is back with Los Angeles following a two-month absence due to a left knee injury, and a bizarre setback when he suffered a serious burn after falling asleep with a heating pad on that same knee. The 31-year-old slugger has one round-tripper in 21 games this season for the Angels. Rotoworld Today, 2:34 pm

  • Set for season-ending wrist surgery
Encarnacion-Strand will undergo surgery on his right wrist July 11, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The recovery is expected to take three months, effectively ending Encarnacion-Strand's 2024 season. He initially went on the injured list back in early May with a right ulnar styloid fracture, but subsequent testing revealed ligament damage, which he'll need surgery to address. Encarnacion-Strand's season will conclude with him having slashed only .190/.220/.293 with two home runs in 29 games. Rotowire.com Today, 1:28 pm
  • CES set to undergo season-ending hand surgery
Christian Encarnacion-Strand will undergo season-ending right hand surgery on July 11.

Advice: Encarnacion-Strand has been out since late April after suffering ligament damage in his right hand when he was hit by a pitch. The 24-year-old slugger’s decision to undergo surgery to repair a ulnar styloid fracture on the inside of his hand near his wrist, will keep him sidelined until early October, and is basically going to end his season. He can be safely dropped in all re-draft formats, but is obviously worth stashing in all keeper and dynasty league formats. It’s unclear how he’ll rebound next year after ostensibly missing an entire season due to injury. Rotoworld Today, 1:22 pm
  • Playing time dwindling
Montero is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Houston.

Advice: It marks the fourth straight game that Montero has been out of the lineup, although he did make one pinch-hitting appearance over that stretch. The recent emergence of Michael Toglia has put the squeeze on Montero's playing time, and his .581 OPS hasn't helped, either. Rotowire.com Today, 11:42 am
