    Carpenter is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

    Advice: Carpenter had gone 3-for-6 with a double, a walk, two runs and two RBI while starting in each of the Cardinals' previous three matchups versus righties, but he'll take a seat Sunday even as Cincinnati brings righty Hunter Greene to the mound. Though the Cardinals still seem to view Carpenter as their primary designated hitter against righties, he'll head to the bench any time manager Oliver Marmol wants to give one his other everyday players a day out of the field.     Rowdy Tellez hit a two-run homer to help the Pirates to a win over Atlanta on Sunday.

    Advice: Tellez doubled the Pittsburgh lead with a two-run homer off Spencer Schwellenbach in the fifth inning. The 29-year-old has gone deep just four times in his 196 at-bats in 2024, and his slash of .230/.286/.322 doesn’t offer much fantasy relevance from the first base position.     Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

    Advice: Lowe has four multi-hit efforts over his last nine games, a span that also includes two of his four homers this year. The first baseman has never displayed elite power, but his .369 slugging percentage for the season is low even by his standard.   • Lowe has three hits, two-run homer in loss
    Nathaniel Lowe went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in a loss Saturday to the Orioles.

    Advice: Lowe also doubled. The homer was a two-run shot that got the Rangers back in the game to make it a 5-4 score in the sixth. The 28-year-old has not shown a ton of power thus far in 2024, as his .262 average and .348 on-base percentage have been dragged down by just four roundtrippers and a .369 slugging mark over 214 at-bats.     Giants activated 1B/OF LaMonte Wade Jr. from the 10-day injured list.

    Advice: As expected, the 30-year-old slugger will return to start at first base and bat second on Friday night against Landon Knack and the Dodgers. Prior to landing on the injured list in late May with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, Wade had been hitting .333/.470/.426 with a pair of homers, 17 RBI and one stolen base through his first 166 plate appearances.
