• Getting afternoon off
Wong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Wong will get the afternoon off after he started behind the plate both of the past two days, going 2-for-8 with an RBI between those contests. Reese McGuire will draw the start at catcher in the series finale. Rotowire.com Today, 7:16 am

  • Chased early in no-decision
Glasnow did not factor into the decision in a win over the Giants on Saturday, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over three innings while striking out one.

Advice: Glasnow didn't have his best stuff Saturday, allowing the leadoff man to reach in each of his three innings of work while surrendering four extra-base hits. It marked the right-hander's shortest outing of the campaign and the second time in his last four starts that he's given up five runs. Glasnow also struck out only one batter in the contest, a season low, after fanning at least nine in four straight starts coming in. Rotowire.com Today, 6:03 am
  • Tyler Glasnow hit hard in three innings vs. Giants
Tyler Glasnow was hit hard in no-decision against the Giants on Saturday night, surrendering five runs on seven hits in just three innings of work.

Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander also issued a pair of walks in the contest while recording only one strikeout. The Giants scratched out a run against him on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Then they piled on for five more in the third inning that included run-scoring knocks from Jorge Soler, Andrew Bailey and Matt Chapman. Glasnow generated seven swings and misses on only 61 pitches on the night, posting an underwhelming CSW of 21 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 3.23 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and a 136/27 K/BB ratio (103 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:06 pm
  • Continues power surge
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an RBI double, a walk and two total runs scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Santander got the Orioles on the board with a second-inning homer, and his RBI double in the seventh provided a key insurance run. He may never want June to end -- he's batting .274 (29-for-106) with 13 homers and 26 RBI across 27 contests this month. The incredible surge has him up to 22 homers, 55 RBI, 46 runs scored, 14 doubles and no stolen bases through 78 games this season, though he's still batting a middling .233 despite his .813 OPS. • Works around two walks for save
Kimbrel worked around two walks in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Kimbrel, who hadn't walked multiple batters in an outing since May 8, was able to pitch his way out of trouble. He's allowed two runs (one earned) while posting a 13:5 K:BB over 9.1 innings in June, converting six of his seven chances this month. Kimbrel is up to 19 saves with a 2.37 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 44:14 K:BB through 30.1 innings overall. Kimbrel has pitched three of the last four days, so he may not be available if a save situation arises Sunday. With Jacob Webb, Yennier Cano and Cionel Perez also having pitched Friday and Saturday, there could be an opportunity for Dillon Tate or Bryan Baker to get a look in a high-leverage spot. • Anthony Santander doubles and homers in win
Anthony Santander doubled and homered in a win Saturday over the Rangers.

Advice: Santander hit his 22nd homer of the season with a solo shot off Michael Lorenzen in the second. The 29-year-old outfielder doubled in a run in the seventh to extend the Baltimore lead to 6-4 and also gave Santander 55 RBI on the season. It’s been an outstanding month of June for the outfielder, as he’s now slugging .631 over those 107 at-bats with nine homers and 21 runs driven in. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:15 pm

  • Craig Kimbrel works around two walks for save
Craig Kimbrel walked two, but didn’t give up a run while picking up a save Saturday against the Rangers.

Advice: Kimbrel walked Leody Taveras to lead off the inning and then gave up a stolen base to the outfielder, and he then got the next two outs. He issued another free pass to Josh Smith, but he was able to get Adolis Garcia to fly out and pick up the save. Crisis averted. Kimbrel has 19 saves and a 2.37 ERA in the first half of 2024. • Initial X-rays come back negative for Corey Seager
Initial X-rays on the injured left hand/wrist of Corey Seager came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

Advice: That doesn’t necessarily mean that the coast is clear, as he’ll still undergo additional testing, but it’s very encouraging to hear that there were no fractures revealed on the initial X-rays. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect Seager to return to action on Sunday, but it sounds like he was fortunate to have avoided any serious injuries this time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:25 pm

  • X-rays negative
Seager's (wrist) X-rays came back negative and he'll undergo further evaluation Sunday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Seager was hit in the left wrist by a pitch during Saturday's game against the Orioles and was immediately removed from the contest. Considering he looked to be in significant pain, Seager's X-rays returning negative is certainly an encouraging sign. Sill, it seems like he'll be held out of Sunday's series finale.
