• Tallies three hits again Saturday
Bliss went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and two RBI in a 9-0 victory versus Miami on Saturday.

Advice: Bliss plated a run with a fourth-inning single and wrapped up the scoring in the contest with an RBI double in the eighth. It was the second consecutive three-hit game for the infielder after he went 3-for-3 with an RBI on Friday. Prior to the pair of three-hit contests, Bliss had needed 19 at-bats over nine games to collect his previous three base knocks. While he offers some intriguing upside on the basepaths -- Bliss swiped 28 bags in 50 games at Triple-A prior to his late-May call-up and has four thefts in five attempts over 20 contests in the majors -- it's not clear what role he might have with the Mariners when Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returns from the IL. • Ryan Bliss doubles twice, drives in two in rout
Ryan Bliss doubled twice and picked up three hits in a blowout win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Bliss also scored a run. The 24-year-old rookie has picked up six hits in his seven at-bats against Miami in the series, and that’s helped improve his slash to .283/.353/.457. The question now becomes what Seattle does with Bliss when Jorge Polanco (hamstring) comes off the injured list, and what kind of role he’d serve if he did stay on the roster. Based on what he’s done in the majors, he deserves playing time, but Seattle will want him to get regular at-bats somewhere. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:36 pm

  • Perfect night at plate Friday
Bliss went 3-for-3 with an RBI triple in an extra-inning loss to the Marlins on Friday. He also was caught stealing on his only attempt.

Advice: The rookie had his best night in the majors yet, posting his first multi-hit effort and first triple at the big-league level. Bliss was also caught stealing for the first time in five attempts, but this effort gave his batting average and OPS respective 59- and 145-point boosts to .238 and .700. • Ryan Bliss goes 3-for-3 versus Marlins
Ryan Bliss had half of the Mariners’ hits Friday, finishing 3-for-3 with an RBI against the Marlins.

Advice: Bliss’s .238/.319/.381 line through 49 plate appearances isn’t particularly remarkable, but that’s actually an above average OPS+ for a Seattle hitter in 2024. He’s going to have a case for sticking around after Jorge Polanco returns, which could happen this weekend. Rotoworld Friday, 9:56 pm

  • Taking seat Wednesday
Rafaela is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Rafaela will get his first day off since May 30, clearing the way for Romy Gonzalez to pick up a start in center field. Though he's cobbled together a modest .687 OPS for the season, Rafaela has been running hot of late at the dish, slashing .468/.490/.596 with four extra-base hits and two stolen bases over his last 12 games. • Sizzling bat continues in win
Rafaela went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto.

Advice: Rafaela drove in the game-winning run with an eighth-inning single. The rookie's bat continues to sizzle; Rafaela has hit safely in seven consecutive games, including multiple hits in six of those contests. He's 16-for-26 (.615) with three doubles, a home run, two steals, four RBI and six runs scored during the streak. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:51 am

  • Rafaela has three-hit night in win over Blue Jays
Ceddanne Rafaela went 3-for-4 and a double and one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Red Sox’s No. 9 hitter came up big on Tuesday as his third hit drove in the go-ahead run to complete the comeback over the Jays. Rafaela has been hot of late, hitting in seven straight games while going 16-for-26 over that span. He’s slashing a solid .377/.406/.475 in June but continues to strike out at a high rate (32.8 percent) when he’s not getting on base. We’ll see how long this hot-hitting continues for the young centerfielder. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:44 pm

  • Rafaela has two hits, home run in win Monday
Ceddanne Rafaela went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Rafaela’s home run was his eighth of the season. Despite hitting ninth regularly, he’s up to 40 RBI on the season, which leads the team. Rafaela’s only hitting .243, but his counting numbers show he’s been a very productive player this year. Rotoworld Monday, 7:18 pm

  • Logs steal as pinch runner
Bliss entered Sunday's win over the Rangers as a pinch runner in the eighth inning, recording a stolen base and scoring a run without logging an official plate appearance.

Advice: The rookie worked himself into scoring position with his steal of second base and then was driven home with the Mariners' fourth run by Dominic Canzone's single. The cameo marked Bliss's first appearance on the basepaths since last Monday, as he'd failed to reach in any of the nine plate appearances he'd logged over the previous four games.
