• Sitting out Sunday
Meyers is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Meyers is hitless so far in the series, though he flashed the leather Friday with an incredible catch to rob Riley Greene of a homer. That defense will keep him in the lineup most days and afford him time to build on his nice start at the dish (.254/.315/.414). Meyers has already set a new career high with six steals and is on pace for a new career high in home runs. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago

  • Jasson Dominguez (undisclosed) placed on 7-day IL
Jasson Dominguez was placed on the 7-day IL by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: It’s not known why Dominguez was placed on the injured list at this time. The outfielder did miss the first two months of the season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and it’s possible there’s a correlation there. Dominguez is one of the best fantasy prospects in baseball, and assuming good health, he has a chance to be a contributor at some point this summer. Stay tuned. Rotoworld 37 minutes ago
  • Brenton Doyle (knee) out again Sunday vs. PIT
Brenton Doyle (knee) is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Doyle was scratched from the lineup Sunday against Pittsburgh while dealing with left patella tendinitis. The speedy outfielder will get at least one more day off, and Jake Cave will handle center field. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

  • Placed on IL at Triple-A
Dominguez (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, Conor Foley of YES Network reports.

Advice: It's unclear at this stage what is ailing the 21-year-old. He was just formally activated from the 60-day injured list by the Yankees earlier this week after a long recovery from Tommy John surgery, and subsequently optioned down to Triple-A. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago
  • Avoids structural damage to knee
Winker, who is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins, said an MRI on his right knee showed no structural damage, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker noted, however, that he's still dealing with some stiffness in his right knee, which he injured while running the bases in the first inning of Saturday's 4-0 win before he was pulled in the third inning. The 30-year-old said that he expects to be good to go after a couple of days of rest, and he'll benefit from the Nationals being off Monday before the team begins a three-game set with the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. • Takes seat for first game Sunday
Brown is not in the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Advice: Brown is in a bad way at the plate -- he's just 3-for-his-last-35 -- but regardless he should be back in there to face right-hander Chris Paddack in the second game of the twin bill. Daz Cameron will get the start in right field in the matinee. Rotowire.com Today, 8:56 am

  • Kepler out for first game of doubleheader
Max Kepler is not in the lineup for the first game of the doubleheader against the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: Kepler is dealing with elbow soreness, and he’ll get at least the first game of the twin billing against Oakland off. It’s possible the 31-year-old wouldn’t be playing anyway with southpaw JP Sears on the mound for the A’s. Stay tuned to see if he returns for game two of the doubleheader. Rotoworld Today, 8:53 am

  • Idle against southpaw
Rosario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Rosario will take a seat for the second day in a row while the Marlins bring another left-hander (Jesus Luzardo) to the hill. Though he's turned in an unremarkable .520 OPS thus far in June, Rosario still seems to have a hold on a near-everyday role against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 8:53 am

  • MRI reveals no structural damage in Winker’s knee
An MRI on Jesse Winker’s right knee revealed know structural damage.

Advice: The clean imaging is great news for Winker, and the expectation is that he’ll be able to return to the lineup after a couple of days of rest. He’s out of action for Sunday’s game against the Marlins, and isn’t likely to be available off the bench. Rotoworld Today, 8:41 am
