      Advice: Lugo gave up a hit and a walk in the first frame, then followed the inning up with back-to-back homers to start the second. After that, however, Lugo retired nine straight batters and kept the Brewers off the scoreboard until the seventh inning. He was seemingly set up for his sixth win of the season with the Royals up 5-3 heading into the ninth, but Willy Adames took Lugo out of contention for the W with a go-ahead three-run home run. Lugo has pitched at least six innings in seven of his eight starts and has gone into the seventh five times. He's scheduled to make his next start Sunday against the Angels.       Advice: Tuesday's appearance was Rea's shortest of the campaign, failing to reach five innings pitched for the first time this year. While he kept the ball in the park, Rea tied his season high in hits allowed and yielded three extra-base hits. Rea has been hit or miss during his last four starts, allowing four or more runs twice but giving up no runs in his other two outings. He's expected to toe the rubber Monday against the Pirates.       Advice: Jeffers tagged Emerson Hancock for a three-run shot in the third inning to put the Twins ahead 4-2. The long ball was his second in as many games and extended his streak of games with an extra-base hit to six. During that stretch, Jeffers is 7-for-22 (.318) with eight RBI and four runs scored.       Max Muncy went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Tuesday against the Marlins.

      Advice: It was his sixth career slam and fourth homer in three games. A career .228 hitter, Munch is at .263 right now, even though his strikeout rate is higher than usual and his exit velocity numbers are pretty typical.       Tim Anderson went 0-for-4 against the Dodgers on Tuesday, dropping his average to .203.

      Advice: It was worth seeing if Anderson might bounce back from his awful 2023, but he’s been even worse in 35 games this year. In 118 plate appearances, he has three extra-base hits, six walks and 37 strikeouts. His contact numbers are horrible, and he’s not making hard contact when he does hit the ball. He’s also not very good defensively at this stage of his career. Otto Lopez wouldn’t be more than a placeholder for the Marlins, but he has to be better than Anderson right now.       Edward Cabrera surrendered four runs in two innings before leaving Tuesday’s game with right biceps discomfort.

      Advice: It was assumed his early exit was because of his struggles in walking four and giving up a grand slam, but the Marlins revealed the injury after the game.       Advice: Cabrera's biceps have given him problems numerous times across the past three seasons, though it's not immediately apparent how severe his latest flare-up is.       Advice: Haniger got the Mariners on the board in the second inning, tagging Bailey Ober for a long ball to lead off the frame.       Advice: Raleigh replaced Seby Zavala in the seventh innings and came to the plate with the bases loaded and the Mariners down two. He delivered his first career grand slam to give Seattle the lead and score Mitch Garver, Luis Urias and Dylan Moore. Raleigh reached via walk in his other plate appearance and eventually came around to score on a sac fly by Mitch Haniger. In 32 games, Raleigh has swatted nine home runs and owns a .769 OPS.
