The first baseman endured a 3-for-20 stretch over six games from June 22-28, but he's bounced back with a trio of multi-hit efforts over his last five contests.     • Landon Knack gives up three homers in defeat
      Landon Knack yielded four runs in 4 1/3 innings Thursday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Knack struck out six and walked just one tonight, but of the 11 balls put in play against him, seven were hit hard and three ended up as homers.       India went 3-for-5 with a home run and two additional runs in Thursday's 8-4 win against the Yankees.

      Advice: India hit one of three homers for Cincinnati, swatting a solo shot in the third inning. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases.       Burnes allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners.

      Advice: Burnes, who welcomed twins over the weekend, was strong in his return to the mound. He threw 62 of 94 pitches for strikes, but he gave up both runs in the fifth inning, including one on a solo home run by Julio Rodriguez. Burnes has posted a quality start in all but one of his last 13 outings, though this was just the second time in his last seven starts that he didn't come away with a win. He has an excellent 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105:25 K:BB through 112.2 innings over 18 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Cubs and should be set to pitch on a regular schedule with the Orioles electing for a five-man rotation moving forward.       Corbin Burnes struck out six and allowed two runs over six innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

      Advice: Burnes set down 12 straight batters to open the contest, and carried a shutout into the fifth inning, before coughing up a gargantuan solo homer to Mariners struggling superstar Julio Rodríguez. He proceeded to load the bases with nobody out in the frame, but managed to wriggle out of the jam with only one run crossing the plate. The overall strikeout total doesn’t seem that impressive, but he generated an eye-popping 18 swinging strikes and finished with a 31 percent CSW. The 29-year-old fantasy ace will bring a sparkling 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105/25 K/BB ratio across 112 2/3 innings (18 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Cubs in his final start prior to the Midsummer Classic.       Jonathan India scored three runs while going 3-for-5 with a homer in a victory Thursday over the Yankees.

      Advice: India doubled the Reds’ lead to 2-0 with a solo blast in the third inning off an ineffective Marcus Stroman. He also singled twice while improving his average to .278 with a .383 on-base percentage. India has been the subject of trade rumors for seemingly forever, but for now, he’s a solid fantasy option at the top of the Cincinnati lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:12 pm
       
    • Belts homer in loss
      Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Orioles on Wednesday.

      Advice: The Mariners' offense remained mired in a funk Wednesday, but Raleigh prevented a shutout defeat with a sixth-inning, 423-foot shot to center for the final run of the night for either team. The slugging backstop has now left the yard in three of his last eight games, putting him halfway to the career-best total of 30 homers he established last season.     • Lasts just four innings Wednesday
      Pepiot (4-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Royals, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks in four innings. He did not strike out a batter.

      Advice: Pepiot made it through the first two innings unscathed, but the Royals got to him for two runs in the third on a couple of hits. He made quick work in the fourth but was replaced after throwing 87 pitches. The Rays offense mustered up just two runs, leaving Pepiot in line for the loss. His last win came back on June 4 against Miami. Pepiot also never had fewer than two strikeouts in any MLB game, as a starter or reliever, before recording none Wednesday. It was another short start for the 26-year-old, who has failed to complete six frames in each of his last four starts.     • Anthony Volpe out of the leadoff spot Thursday
      Anthony Volpe is batting sixth on Thursday against the Reds.

      Advice: It’s the first time since April 10th that Volpe will be in the lineup and not be leading off. However, it appears to be a move that was a long time coming. Since Volpe moved into the leadoff spot, he has had the worst on-base percentage among every Yankees player with at least 250 plate appearances. He also ranks as the third-worst leadoff hitter in baseball with his 87 wRC+. Considering the Yankees’ lead-off hitter bats in front of Juan Soto and Aaron Judge, the team needs somebody who can consistently get on base and be driven in by those two studs.
