    • Brewers outright Chris Roller to Triple-A
Brewers sent OF Chris Roller outright to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Roller passed through waivers unclaimed and will remain with Milwaukee as extra organizational outfield depth. The 27-year-old got into just one game earlier this season in the big leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:10 pm

    • Mike Yastrzemski exits Thursday after hit by pitch
Mike Yastrzemski was removed from Thursday’s game against the Braves after being hit by a pitch.

Advice: Yastrzemski was hit by a pitch in the right elbow area and was lifted from the contest. He’ll presumably undergo further evaluation and imaging to determine the extent of the injury. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:01 pm
    • Leaves early Thursday
Yastrzemski exited Thursday's game against Atlanta after taking a pitch to the hip or back area, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Yastrzemski was hit by the pitch in the fourth inning and remained in the game for an additional frame. However, he was ultimately replaced by Luis Matos and should be considered day-to-day. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:40 pm
    • Brent Rooker has two hits, steals base in victory
Brent Rooker went 2-for-3 with an RBI and also stole a base on Thursday in the Athletics’ win over the Angels.

Advice: Rooker extended Oakland’s early lead with a run-scoring single in the third inning off Angels starter Roansy Contreras before picking up his fourth theft of the season later in the frame. The 29-year-old outfielder is in the midst of a strong season with an .880 OPS with 17 homers and four steals through 74 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:22 pm

    • Homer, steal in win
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, one stolen base and two total runs scored in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Rodriguez earned his first multi-hit effort and swatted his first homer in 15 games. During the slump, he went just 7-for-56 (.125) while failing to log an extra-base hit or RBI. Rodriguez's recent poor play has seen him bounce around the lineup in an effort to get his bat going -- he hit fifth Thursday but had batted seventh in the previous two games. Overall, he's slashing .247/.296/.336 with eight homers, 30 RBI, 39 runs scored and 18 steals through 88 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:42 pm

    • Julio Rodríguez blasts first homer since June 15
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and also stole a base on Thursday, powering the Mariners to a 7-3 victory over the Orioles.

Advice: Rodríguez connected for his first homer since June 15 when he launched a towering 428-foot blast to left field off Orioles ace Corbin Burnes in the fifth inning. It was his eighth round-tripper of the season and a much-needed sign for the 23-year-old superstar, who has been mired in a season-long tailspin at the dish. The absence of over-the-fence pop has been the most alarming trend in his sudden decline, so this performance certainly qualifies as a step in the right direction. He’s still a long way from getting back to his previous form, but there are some signs of life now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm

    • Jesús Sánchez comes single short of cycle vs. BOS
Jesús Sánchez doubled, tripled and homered in an extra-inning loss to the Red Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Sánchez came just a single away from hitting for the cycle, which isn’t a common result. The 26-year-old’s homer was a big one, as it was a two-run shot that tied the game at 4-4 in the 11th inning. He was next on base in the 12th with a chance for the cycle, but Josh Bell struck out with two outs to prevent the chance. Sánchez is having his usual hot-and-cold season with a slash of .247/.297/.409 with nine homers and 33 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
    • Tyler O’Neill drives in two, steals two bases
Tyler O’Neill went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 win over the Marlins on Thursday in 12 innings.

Advice: O’Neill picked up both RBI in extra innings. The first was an infield single to give Boston a 3-2 lead in the 11th, and the next was a double in the 12th that extended the lead for the Red Sox to 6-4. The steals are a bit of a rarity for the outfielder, as they were just the second and third of the season for the 29-year-old. O’Neill certainly has the speed to contribute in that category, so it’s possible he’ll run more in the second half of the campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:49 pm
    • Spencer Steer socks three-run HR against Yankees
Spencer Steer hit a three-run homer while helping the Reds to an 8-4 win over the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Steer extended the Reds’ lead to 5-0 with a three-run blast off Marcus Stroman; the third homer Cincinnati hit against the right-hander. Steer has now gone deep 11 times with 54 RBI. The 26-year-old infielder’s .239/.332/.416 slash leaves a bit to be desired, but he’s starting to swing the bat better and should be a solid fantasy option over the second half of the 2024 campaign.
