    • Strikes out season-high eight
Marsh (5-3) got the win vs the Mariners on Saturday. He went five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits while striking out eight.

Advice: Marsh gave up a leadoff homer to J.P. Crawford but would settle in nicely, as he retired the next 13 batters in order. He struck out eight of those 13 hitters, which is a new season high and three away from his career high. Marsh ran into trouble in the fifth and wound up allowing four runs before being pulled, his third straight outing in which he's given up at least four earned runs. His ERA has gone from 2.72 to 4.05 over his last three starts, but he remains a key piece of the Royals' revitalized rotation this season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:01 pm

    • Marsh allows four runs, strikes out eight vs. M’s
Alec Marsh gave up four runs in five-plus innings while striking out eight Saturday against the Mariners while being credited with a win.

Advice: Marsh, 26, gave up seven hits without issuing a walk. The first pitch he threw was hit over the fence by J.P. Crawford, but he settled down nicely over the next few innings while taking advantage of Seattle’s swing-and-miss issues. He did struggle in the fifth before being pulled, but the stuff was better than this line suggests. Marsh has streaming appeal, but that appeal doesn’t apply to a scheduled start next week against the Yankees. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 pm

    • Manny Machado (hip) remains out of Padres lineup
Manny Machado (hip) was held out of the Padres’ starting lineup for the third consecutive game on Saturday.

Advice: Unlike the previous two days though, Machado did participate in a full pregame workout with the team, indicating that his return is imminent. He should once again be available off the bench if needed on Saturday. Donovan Solano will start in his place at third base and bat fifth for the Brewers against Ryne Nelson and the Diamondbacks on Saturday evening in Arizona. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 pm

    • Sitting out third straight
Machado (hip) isn't in the Padres' lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Machado will miss his third start in a row Saturday, although he was able to participate in pregame drills for the first time since straining his right hip flexor Wednesday, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Donovan Solano will continue to fill in for Machado at third base, batting fifth against right-hander Ryne Nelson. Rotowire.com Today, 3:12 pm

    • Moves to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Hall (knee) to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Hall's move to the 60-day IL makes him ineligible for activation until June 20, but he wasn't likely to return until at least late June anyway. The 25-year-old lefty was recommended a platelet-rich plasma injection that would've kept him sidelined until September, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, but Hall will instead attempt to pitch through his injury and re-evaluate the damage during the offseason. His spot on the 40-man roster will be given to Elieser Hernandez, who signed a one-year deal with Milwaukee on Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 10:31 am

    • Brewers transfer DL Hall (knee) to 60-day IL
Brewers transferred LHP DL Hall to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Hall visited specialist Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles for a second opinion on his left knee and has opted to go the rest and rehabilitation route instead of receiving a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection. The procedural move keeps him sidelined until at least late June and opens up a spot on Milwaukee’s 40-man roster. Rotoworld Today, 10:09 am

    • Mashes another homer
Santander went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander's slow start to the season stood out compared to most of the rest of the Orioles, but he's warmed up significantly. Over his last 15 games, the outfielder is hitting .291 (16-for-55) with six homers and 11 RBI. He's homered in four of his last seven contests and now has a .227/.306/.472 slash line with 13 long balls, 36 RBI, 33 runs scored and no stolen bases over 58 games this season. • Steals bag, scores in loss
Duran went 0-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Duran stole home, his first steal in 15 games, and leads Boston with 12 thefts. He also leads the team with 39 runs. The outfielder has been hot to start the month of June, going 10-for-26 (.385) with one double, one triple, two home runs, four RBI and seven runs scored over the last six games. • Produces game-winning hit
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 2-1 extra-innings win over the Yankees.

Advice: Pitching dominated the matchup between two of the league's top teams, and Hernandez was responsible for half of the Dodgers' four hits. His second knock came in the 11th inning, when he doubled to left field to plate Los Angeles' only two runs of the game. Hernandez has three RBI over his past two contests to move into the team lead with 41 RBI on the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 6:44 am
