    • Riley Greene homers twice in win
Riley Greene went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI and two runs scored in a 13-5 win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Greene didn’t hit for a ton of power last year while recovering from a shoulder injury, so there was a narrative that he was more of a slap hitter, but that was never the case. The 23-year-old is now up to 14 home runs on the season to go along with 36 RBI and a .836 OPS. He looks to be in the midst of a full-on breakout and has a bright fantasy future ahead of him. • Jackson Chourios knocks in two against Reds
Jackson Chourio singled twice and knocked in two runs against the Reds on Friday.

Advice: Chourio would surely be back in the minors at this point if he hadn’t signed a long-term deal this spring, but it’s not like he’s embarrassing himself with a .229/.280/.365 line as a 20-year-old in a season in which offense has been hard to come by. His long-term outlook hasn’t diminished at all, even if he still doesn’t seem like a very good bet in mixed leagues over the rest of 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:24 pm

    • Takes seat Friday
Cowser is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Left-hander Ranger Suarez is drawing the start for the Phillies, so the lefty-hitting Cowser will begin this one on the bench. The Orioles are going with Austin Hays in left field and Cedric Mullins in center Friday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:59 am

    • Homers off bench Wednesday
Cowser hit a two-run home run in his lone at-bat in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Cowser entered the game as a defensive replacement for Ryan O'Hearn in the top of the eighth inning, and he was able to make some noise on offense with his go-ahead blast a half-inning later. The homer was Cowser's first since May 26 and just his second since the start of May, as his hot start to the year has faded. He's batting just .196 over his last 16 contests, though Cedric Mullins' struggles at the plate have allowed Cowser to maintain a decent share of playing time. The 24-year-old is slashing .234/.324/.436 with eight homers, four stolen bases, 29 RBI and 27 runs scored across 216 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:09 am

    • Goes deep in loss
Greene went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-5 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Greene is starting to get going at the plate, as he's now batting .275 in June with two home runs, seven RBI and eight runs scored across 10 games. The young outfielder has pushed himself up to 12 long balls on the season, and if he stays hot the rest of the month, his counting stats could trend upward quickly. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:14 pm

    • Colton Cowser hits go-ahead homer in eighth
Colton Cowser came off the bench to hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth as the Orioles bested the Braves 4-2 on Wednesday.

Advice: Cowser was on the bench in favor of Austin Hays against a right-hander tonight, but that’s just not something the Orioles need to do with any real frequency. Even though Cowser’s numbers have come down after a hot start, his batted ball stats remain strong. He’s definitely one of the Orioles’ top three outfield options versus righties. • Heading to bench Wednesday
Cowser is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Cowser will retreat to the bench Wednesday, opening up a spot in center field for Cedric Mullins. With Austin Hays making a second straight start in left field after a four-game absence due to a rib injury, the Baltimore outfield is more crowded these days, but Hays and Cowser should have an edge over the struggling Mullins for starting roles alongside right fielder Anthony Santander more often than not. Cowser is hitting just .161 since the beginning of June but still holds a 206-point edge over Mullins in OPS on the season (.738 to .532). Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:04 pm

    • Gaining traction in lineup
Chourio will start in left field and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Chourio will stick in the lineup for the fifth game in a row, with three of his starts coming against right-handed pitching during that stretch. The rookie went 4-for-13 with a home run, a double and two walks over his previous four starts, and his recent surge at the plate could be enough for him to unseat the lefty-hitting Jake Bauers as a regular in the lineup versus right-handed pitching. Bauers is in the lineup Wednesday against Toronto righty Chris Bassitt, but he was on the bench for two of the Brewers' previous three matchups with right-handers. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:16 am

    • Triples, drives in three Tuesday
Greene went 1-for-5 with a triple, a run scored and three RBI in Tuesday's 5-4, extra-inning loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Greene's triple came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning, pushing his season RBI total to 28. The young outfielder is still batting just .242 after hitting .288 in 2023, but his .793 OPS is in line with last year's .796 mark. Greene is a dynamic talent, and if he can push his average up even a little bit, he should be able to have a sizable fantasy impact the rest of the way. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:13 pm
