      Advice: Conforto got into two rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento on Friday and Saturday, going 1-for-5 with one walk and one strikeout. He was set to be re-evaluated by the team after that and, as long as he feels fine, is expected back in the lineup Monday.       Michael Conforto (hamstring) is tentatively expected to return to the Giants’ lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

      Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder played in a pair of minor league rehab games at Triple-A Sacramento over the weekend, going 1-for-5 (.200) with a 1/1 K/BB ratio. He was set to be evaluated on Monday, and as long as everything goes well he’ll be cleared to return.       Morton didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Oakland, allowing one hit and five walks with six K's across six scoreless innings.

      Advice: During his last start, Morton was hammered for 12 hits and eight runs by the Nationals. He did a complete 180 on Sunday, yielding one hit and delivering his first scoreless start since April 27. However, it wasn't a perfect outing, as Morton tied his season high in walks and hit the strike zone on just 58 of his 97 pitches.       Advice: Sewald has been nigh unhittable lately, allowing just one baserunner over his past six appearances. The 34-year-old veteran has not allowed an earned run since his season debut back on May 7 and he is now a perfect five-for-five in save opportunities with a microscopic 1.08 ERA and 0.48 WHIP in 8.1 innings.       Singer (illness) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Guardians in Cleveland, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Singer looks to be in the clear on the health front after an unspecified illness left him feeling lethargic and unable to play catch Wednesday before the Royals opted to scratch him from his scheduled start Thursday against the Twins, according to ESPN.com. He apparently demonstrated enough progress over the weekend and shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he takes the hill Wednesday.     • Nelson Velázquez delivers clutch game-tying hit
      Nelson Velázquez had a pinch-hit two-RBI triple to tie the game in the ninth inning in a 4-3 win over the Padres on Sunday.

      Advice: Velázquez didn’t start the game, but he was brought on to face left-hander Yuki Matsui in the ninth inning and drilled a 109 mph triple off the center field wall to tie the game. It was a ball that could have left the yard in 18 of 30 MLB stadiums and continued Velázquez’s trend of only getting hits in big situations. In his last 11 games, Velázquez has gone 8-for-43 but five of those hits have been home runs and two others have driven in runs.     • Nico Hoerner has two hits in loss to Reds
      Nico Hoerner went 2-for-5 with a run scored in a loss to the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Hoerner has been slowly increasing his batting average in recent weeks and is up to .262/.351/.366 on the season; however, he didn’t attempt a stolen base today and has just six on the season. After stealing 43 bases last year, it’s discouraging to see Hoerner not running as often. It could partially be a hamstring issue he’s been dealing with or a new philosophy under manager Craig Counsell, but since Hoerner doesn’t have much power, his fantasy value will take a big hit if he’s only a 25-stolen-base hitter who will hit .270-.280. If you need the steals, you should still keep Hoerner in your lineup, but if you’re OK on speed and somebody makes a compelling offer, he could be a player you’re OK parting with.     • Hand showing improvement
      Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Sunday that the swelling in Suarez's hand has improved significantly, and the left-hander could pick up a ball in the next day or two, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The 28-year-old was struck in the left hand by a comebacker during Saturday's start against the Cardinals, but he's had X-rays come back negative and already appears to be progressing in his recovery. It remains to be seen if Suarez will be cleared for his next turn through the rotation, but he's certainly trending in the right direction. The Phillies also have three scheduled days off surrounding next weekend's two-game series versus the Mets in London, so the club could give Suarez some extra time between outings without needing an additional starter.
