      Sonny Gray allowed six runs -- three earned -- with six strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Reds on Saturday.

      Advice: Gray had worked through two scoreless innings to start the game before the Reds strung together three straight doubled to start the third inning, driving in two runs. A triple, a walk, and a hit batter loaded the bases with one out in the fifth. A fielding error would bring a run in and keep the bases loaded as Gray was relieved at 92 pitches. All inherited runners would come in to score. The 34-year-old right-hander will look to put this one behind him when he takes a 2.98 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and a 109/23 K/BB ratio across 87 2/3 innings into a road start against the Nationals on Friday.       Advice: Gurriel has multiple hits in seven of his last nine games, going 15-for-35 (.429) in that span. The outfielder's surge has lifted his slash line to .267/.301/.422 with 11 homers, 47 RBI, 37 runs scored and three stolen bases over 76 contests this season. Gurriel's .723 OPS is still the lowest mark of his career, but he's been trending in the right direction for most of June after entering the month with a .642 OPS. The veteran outfielder has been inconsistent — something that has followed him for most of his career — but the two-hit night has his average up to .267 and his OPS up to .723 with 11 homers and 47 RBI through 303 at-bats.       Advice: The Mariners scored all of their runs in bizarre fashion Friday, and Raleigh made sure the game-winner was a dribbler that was good enough to score J.P. Crawford from third and give Seattle the win. The 27-year-old backstop has really struggled to hit for average, but has helped as a ron-producer with 50 RBI in through the first 84 games of the year. The 30-year-old has now recorded at least six strikeouts over each of his past three outings and has only walked three batters in 28.1 June innings.       Advice: Eflin scattered just four hits and one walk on the night. Only once did an opposing hitter advance past second base in the game, and that was Jacob Young who advanced to third on a ground ball after his leadoff double in the third inning and was then thrown out at home on a fielder’s choice. The 30-year-old right-hander generated 11 swings and misses on 93 pitches in the ballgame — five of those on his curveball — while posting a CSW of 29 percent.
