    • Thorpe has start pushed back to Friday
RHP Drew Thorpe will start for the White Sox against the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Thorpe was originally scheduled to pitch against the Guardians on Thursday, but the White Sox are pushing him back a day. It’s certainly good news for fantasy managers as the Marlins are undoubtedly the better matchup. Thorpe has a 4.43 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in four starts with Chicago this season. He could be a streaming option in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 8:12 am
    • Secures 13th save
Duran struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 13th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: After missing the first month of the season with an oblique strain, Duran has had a little trouble finding his usual form, but he may be coming around. The right-hander has been scored upon only once in his last 11 appearances, posting a 1.64 ERA, 0.55 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB through 11 innings over that stretch while collecting three wins, three saves and a hold. • Fans seven in quality start
Skubal came away with a no-decision Tuesday, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk over six inning as the Tigers fell 5-3 to the Twins. He struck out seven.

Advice: While he mostly kept traffic off the bases, a two-run double by Royce Lewis (groin) in the third inning and a solo shot by Manuel Margot in the fifth helped deny Skubal his 10th win of the year. The southpaw did collect his 12th quality start of the season, and he'll take a 2.45 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 119:20 K:BB through 103 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Cincinnati. • Notches 15th save
Doval struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 15th save of the season in a 5-3 win over Atlanta.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander was in peak form, whiffing Adam Duvall with a 100.6 mph cutter to end the game. Doval blew his last save chance Friday though, and consistency has been an issue for him all year -- through 33.2 innings, he's posted a 4.28 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 44:22 K:BB, a significant step backwards from his ratios the prior two seasons. • Duran earns 13th save in win over Tigers
Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Duran now has 13 saves on the season, as he lowered his WHIP in the year to 0.98 thanks to a solid frame against the Tigers, in which he struck out one batter. Duran needed just 13 pitches to get through the inning and has converted four of his last five save opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm

    • Doval picks up 15th save in win over Braves
Camilo Doval pitched a perfect ninth inning while striking out two in Tuesday’s win over the Braves.

Advice: Doval now has 14 saves on the season and has allowed just one run since his four-run implosion against the Angels back in mid-June. The veteran closer continues to be a reliable closer out of the bullpen, and he has hopefully put a tough June behind him. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:29 pm
    • Skubal strikes out seven in loss to Twins
Tarik Skubal allowed three earned runs and four hits over six innings while striking out seven in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

Advice: Skubal pitched two scoreless innings to start the game but ran into trouble in the third inning. After striking out Willi Castro to start the frame, Skubal allowed back-to-back singles to Kyle Farmer and Manuel Margot before Royce Lewis eventually doubled to bring both runners around to score. He would later give up a solo homer to Margot in the fifth inning but returned to pitch a scoreless sixth before being pulled for Will Vest. Skubal has allowed seven earned runs over his last 17 innings pitched while posting a 21:4 K:BB ratio. The lefty didn’t get saddled with the loss in this one and will look to pick up his 10th win of the season on Sunday against the Reds. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:09 pm
    • Returning to mound Thursday
Burnes will start Thursday's series finale against the Mariners on the road, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Burnes was activated from the paternity list Monday after missing three games while with his expanding family, welcoming a pair of twins with his wife. With Dean Kremer (triceps) set to return from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Burnes will make his return to the mound Thursday. The right-hander produced a 2.12 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 34 innings in five starts in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:56 pm
    • Reinstated from paternity leave
The Orioles activated Burnes (personal) from the paternity list Monday.

Advice: Burnes was away from the club for the final three games of its weekend series against the Rangers while tending to more important family matters. He's tentatively slated to make his next start Wednesday in Seattle, though that hasn't yet been confirmed. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:41 am
