• Earns save No. 13
Helsley allowed a hit and struck out two without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Helsley has a win and six saves during his nine-inning scoreless streak, a span that's seen him allowed six hits and one walk while striking out 11. The right-hander is 13-for-14 in save chances this season with a 1.35 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB over 20 innings. Helsley seems to be benefiting from being the stand-alone closer as opposed to part of a committee. His career high in saves is 19 in 2022, a mark he should be able to shatter as long as he doesn't add to his lengthy injury history. Rotowire.com 22 minutes ago
  • Tyler Kinley records first save for Rockies
Tyler Kinley recorded his first save of the year with a perfect ninth against the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Kinley got the nod tonight with both Jalen Beeks and Justin Lawrence unavailable. He entered camp as probably a slight favorite over Lawrence to close for the Rockies, but he had a bad spring and then posted a 13.06 ERA in April. The good news is that he’s up to 5 2/3 scoreless innings this month. Still, he’s behind both Beeks and Lawrence in line for saves. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago
  • Converts 10th save
McArthur allowed a run on two hits and struck out three without walking a batter over 1.1 innings to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Mariners.

Advice: McArthur gave up a solo home run to Mitch Haniger in the ninth inning, but he was able to avoid any further damage. The right-hander has surrendered seven runs (six earned) over his last five appearances, and he's been tagged for four homers in that span. He's managed to convert saves in each of his last two outings despite the long balls. McArthur is 10-for-13 in save chances this year while adding a 4.58 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 21:3 K:BB through 19.2 innings. He does not appear to be in danger of losing the closer job yet, but it is concerning to see him give up so much hard contact. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago
  • John Schreiber hit by comebacker versus Mariners
John Schreiber was removed in the eighth inning Tuesday against Seattle after taking a comebacker off his leg.

Advice: Schreiber had pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings when he was hit by a Julio Rodríguez liner, that resulted in a single. He appeared to be OK, but the Royals decided to go to closer James McArthur, who was already warming up, with the man on base. Rotoworld Today, 9:25 pm
  • James McArthur records save against Mariners
James McArthur gave up one run while getting the final four outs for a save Tuesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Mitch Haniger homered off him in the ninth, but the Royals had a three-run lead at the time. It’s the 10th save for McArthur, who has a 4.58 ERA on the season. He’s given up four homers in 19 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 9:25 pm
  • Earns first save
Puk earned the save Tuesday against the Tigers, delivering a scoreless 10th inning in a 1-0 victory.

Advice: After the Marlins finally opened the scoring in the top of the 10th inning, Puk induced three straight flyouts in the bottom half to strand the free runner at second and earn his first save in his second appearance out of the bullpen this season. Puk spent three weeks on the IL with shoulder fatigue after struggling mightily to a 9.22 ERA in four chances as a starter. The 29-year-old left-hander certainly had more success out of the bullpen last season, when he pitched to a 3.97 ERA with 15 saves in 56.2 innings. Puk was immediately inserted back into a high-leverage role, though he'll likely work primarily as a setup option ahead of Tanner Scott. Rotowire.com Today, 9:01 pm

  • Collects win Tuesday
Hader (2-3) allowed a walk and struck out three over two scoreless and hitless innings to earn the extra-inning win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: After starter Ronel Blanco was ejected for the alleged use of a foreign substance, this became a bit of a bullpen game for the Astros as they looked to protect a 1-0 lead. Ryan Pressly couldn't maintain the lead in the eighth inning, but Hader pitched well in the ninth and 10th, and he got the win after Victor Caratini delivered a walk-off hit as a pinch hitter. Hader's active 4.1-inning scoreless streak is his longest of the season. He's now at a 4.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB with five saves in six chances over 19 innings this season. • Ben Lively strikes out five in win over Rangers
Ben Lively allowed five hits and three earned runs over five innings in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.

Advice: Lively’s three earned runs all came on solo blasts from Adolis Garcia, Corey Seager, and Nathaniel Lowe. While it wasn’t an ideal way to get through an otherwise strong outing, the veteran righty did about as well as one could hope for against a strong Rangers lineup. He ran into a bit of trouble in the fourth inning, loading the bases after a single and two walked batters, but was able to strike out Marcus Semien to end the inning. Lively earned his second win of the season in this outing and will look to pick up his third on Monday against the Mets. Rotoworld Today, 8:09 pm

  • Returned to Charlotte
The White Sox returned Anderson to Triple-A Charlotte after Tuesday's doubleheader against Washington.

Advice: Anderson pitched a scoreless inning during the first game of the twin bill, giving up one walk while punching out two batters. He owns a 2.81 ERA and 1.06 WHIP across 16 frames in Triple-A, and he could return to the majors later this year if Chicago's bullpen depth is tested further. Rotowire.com Today, 7:46 pm
