• Recalled from OKC
The Dodgers recalled Salazar from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Through seven starts at Triple-A, Salazar has posted a 5.61 ERA and 1.78 WHIP across 33.2 innings. Although he's been used exclusively as a starter in the minors this season, he will come out of the bullpen for the Dodgers, giving the team depth during its bullpen game Wednesday against the Giants. Gus Varland was optioned to Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Today, 2:45 pm
  • Dodgers recall Eduardo Salazar from Triple-A
Dodgers recalled RHP Eduardo Salazar from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: With a bullpen game on tap for the Dodgers on Wednesday, the club wanted a couple of fresh arms to help the cause, so Salazar will get another shot at the big league level. He holds an uninspiring 5.61 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and a 21/12 K/BB ratio over 33 2/3 innings in seven starts at the Triple-A level this season. Rotoworld Today, 2:44 pm
  • Diagnosed with UCL strain
Manager Carlos Mendoza said Wednesday that Raley was diagnosed with a UCL strain in his left elbow after undergoing further imaging, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Mendoza noted that Raley's UCL is healing, but the Mets will shut him down for two weeks before re-evaluating him, at which point the team will determine next steps. The left-hander has been on the injured list since April 21 and was initially expected to be activated after the 15-day minimum, but he hasn't made any significant progress toward a return to throwing. • Activated, optioned to Nashville
The Brewers reinstated Clarke (knee) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Nashville, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Clarke has been sidelined all season after undergoing surgery in late March to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. The 31-year-old right-hander pitched one inning and gave up a home run during his lone rehab outing, and he'll officially remain in the minors now that he's recovered. Clarke owns a 5.03 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across his MLB career, though he may still be promoted from Nashville later this season should Milwaukee run into further issues with its pitching depth. • Brewers activate and option righty Taylor Clarke
Brewers activated RHP Taylor Clarke from the 15-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Clarke underwent successful knee surgery at the end of spring training and time ran out on his minor league rehab assignment. The 31-year-old right-hander still needs more time to build up though before he’s an option to rejoin the Brewers’ bullpen, so he’ll stay at Triple-A Nashville and continue to work there. • Won't appeal 10-game suspension
Astros general manager Dana Brown said Blanco won't appeal his 10-game suspension, which will go into effect beginning with Wednesday's contest versus the Athletics, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Blanco received the 10-game ban earlier Wednesday after he was ejected in the fourth inning of his start in Tuesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over Oakland for violating the prohibitions on foreign substances. When he spoke to the media after the game, Blanco implied through an interpreter that he would appeal any suspension, but he's since accepted the banishment and won't be eligible to pitch again until May 26. The Astros won't be able to replace Blanco on the 26-man roster and will have to get by with a shorthanded pitching staff for the time being, though Jose Urquidy could soon return from the 15-day injured list to provide reinforcement for the rotation. • Stuck with blown save
Romano (1-1) took a loss and a blown save in Wednesday's 3-2 defeat to the Orioles, allowing two runs on two hits without recording an out in the ninth inning.

Advice: Called upon to protect a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth, Romano gave up an infield single to Jordan Westburg leading off the frame before Adley Rutschman launched a two-run, walk-off homer. It's the first blown save of the year for Romano -- he'd been 6-for-6 in save chances prior to Wednesday. The 31-year-old right-hander sports a 5.06 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB through his first 10.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:57 pm
  • Pierce Johnson (elbow) throws live BP Wednesday
Pierce Johnson (elbow) threw a live batting practice session on Wednesday without any issues.

Advice: It doesn’t sound like he’s going to require a minor league rehab assignment, so if the Braves felt good about how Wednesday’s session went, Johnson could return from the injured list on Friday. Before landing on the shelf with right elbow inflammation, he had posted a 3.00 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 16/5 K/BB ratio over 12 innings of work. Rotoworld Today, 1:53 pm

The Cubs recalled Little from Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday, Ryan Herrera of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Little has permitted seven runs over nine relief innings during his time in the big leagues this season. The 6-foot-8 left-hander will operate in low-leverage situations. Rotowire.com Today, 1:49 pm
