    • Could rejoin team Friday
Astros GM Dana Brown said Sunday that Abreu could join the team Friday in Oakland, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 37-year-old has gone 2-for-9 with a double and a walk in two games with the FCL Astros in the Gulf Coast League, and he's expected to play in a couple more games -- potentially with Triple-A Sugar Land -- this week before rejoining the Astros. Jon Singleton has been operating as Houston's primary first baseman over the past few weeks, and it's unclear if Abreu will immediately reclaim the job once he's called back up. • Austin Riley (side) feeling much improved Sunday
Austin Riley (side) felt much improved on Sunday and is expected to begin swinging a bat soon.

Advice: For the first time since suffering the injury, Riley didn’t feel anything in his side on Sunday. He’ll now start to ramp back up with the hope that he’ll be able to rejoin the Braves’ lineup in a couple of days. Zack Short will continue to handle the hot corner in his absence. • Travis d’Arnaud (head) to start on Monday night
The Braves plan to start Travis d’Arnaud behind the dish for the nightcap of Monday’s doubleheader against the Padres.

Advice: The 35-year-old backstop took a foul ball off his mask on Friday night and wound up missing the remainder of the weekend. Expect Chadwick Tromp to start once again for the first game on Monday. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Tanner Bibee stellar across seven innings
Tanner Bibee struck out eight over seven innings in the Guardians’ 5-2 win over the Twins on Sunday. He scattered four hits, walked one, and allowed one earned run in a no-decision.

Advice: Bibee has struggled relative to expectations out of the gate this season but he was fantastic on Sunday. A José Miranda home run was the only blemish on his ledger as he kept the Twins off-balance all afternoon with a heavy diet of his signature slider. His average fastball velocity also trickled up to 96 MPH, his highest by a full tick in any start this season. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Jhoan Duran takes loss against Guardians
Jhoan Duran allowed a walk-off, three-run homer to Will Brennan on Sunday. He also walked two.

Advice: Duran administered free passes to Andrés Giménez and Josh Naylor before Will Brennan barely cleared the right field fence to win the game. That one home run ballooned Duran’s ERA from 1.13 to 4.15. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
    • Will Brennan hits walk-off, three-run homer
Will Brennan went 1-for-4 with a walk-off homer off Jhoan Duran.

Advice: Meandering around league average, Brennan remains a daily lineup fixture for Cleveland and delivered the knockout blow for them on Sunday. He’s deep league viable on playing time alone, yet unspectacular overall. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago

    • Andrés Giménez homers, walks in win
Andrés Giménez went 1-for-3 with a home run, walk, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Advice: It has not been a strong season for Giménez in the power department with just a 2.6 Barrel% entering play on Sunday. The homer was his fourth of the season and he remains a solid fantasy asset with a .277 batting average and seven stolen bases. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

    • Chris Paddack fires eight innings in no-decision
Chris Paddack threw eight innings and allowed just two earned runs on Sunday against the Guardians. He struck out six and walked none.

Advice: This was the longest outing of Paddack’s career and the first time he’s pitched into the eighth innings since July 17th, 2019! His 4.47 ERA remains a bit unsightly, but he’s shown tremendous signs of progress with his solid changeup, great command, and new slider. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Should return this week
Mariners manager Scott Servais said Sunday that Crawford (oblique/hand) is expected to join the club at some point during the four-game series against the Yankees that begins Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old was unable to join the Mariners as expected in Baltimore this weekend after he was hit by a pitch on the hand during a rehab game Wednesday, but it appears his return will be delayed only a few days. Once activated from the injured list, Crawford should reclaim the starting job at shortstop from Dylan Moore. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
