    • Skenes will make yet another minor-league start
Paul Skenes is scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Indianapolis this week.

Advice: Fans and fantasy managers will have to wait yet another week, at least, before seeing Skenes make his MLB debut. The 21-year-old has made seven starts at Triple-A in 2024, posting a 0.99 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 45/8 K/BB ratio in 27 1/3 innings. The Pirates will, we assume, continue to lengthen him out in his starts until they feel comfortable enough that he can throw five or more innings in each start. Rotoworld Monday, 12:47 pm

    • Likely to be activated this week
Bradley (pectoral) has joined the Rays in Tampa Bay and is likely to be activated from the 15-day injured list to make his season debut later this week, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Bradley has been out all season with a right pectoral strain, but he looked good in two rehab starts, most recently yielding just one earned run across six innings while striking out eight with Triple-A Durham this past Friday. The exact date for Bradley's season debut hasn't yet been revealed, but he'll presumably take the hill sometime this weekend against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:31 pm

    • Swats homer Sunday
Judge went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Sunday's 5-2 victory versus Detroit.

Advice: A day after he was ejected from a game for the first time in his career, Judge belted a solo shot off Tarik Skubal in his first at-bat of the contest. The slugger added a sixth-inning double to notch just his second game with multiple extra-base hits this season. Judge is still slashing a meager .220/.350/.439 on the campaign, but he's batting .355 with three of his seven homers and seven of his 20 RBI over his past nine games. • Expected to return Monday
Burger (oblique) joined the Marlins in Los Angeles and is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Advice: On the shelf since April 15 with a left intercostal strain, Burger looks to have checked out fine after completing the final phase of his recovery process this past week, when he joined Triple-A Jacksonville for a rehab assignment. He played in three games for Jacksonville, going 3-for-11 with two runs, two walks and one RBI in addition to playing nine innings at first base and 18 innings at third base. Once activated, Burger should immediately settle back in as the Marlins' everyday option at the hot corner, resulting in Vidal Brujan and Emmanuel Rivera losing out on playing time. • MLB updates ruling Friday
MLB changed the official scoring on a play during Friday's game, which left Houck charged with three earned runs over six-plus innings, not four, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: A fielder's choice in the seventh inning was updated to a throwing error by catcher Reese McGuire. The ruling drops Houck's season ERA to 1.99 and gives him a sixth quality start. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:21 am

    • Homers in blowout win
Westburg went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 11-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Westburg did his damage early, lifting a two-run blast in the first inning. He had gone 0-for-7 over the first two games of the weekend series in Cincinnati. The homer was his first since April 21 and his sixth of the year. The infielder has added a strong .286/.336/.513 slash line with 23 RBI, 18 runs scored, four steals, five doubles and two triples through 32 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:05 pm

    • Tosses six shutout frames
Assad (3-0) allowed four hits and three walks over six scoreless innings Sunday, striking out four and earning a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Assad scattered baserunners throughout his start but never faced any heavy threats. He's allowed two or fewer runs in each of his first seven outings of 2024, but Sunday's performance was his first quality start since his season debut April 2. Assad dropped his season ERA to 1.66 with a 31:12 K:BB through 38 innings. He failed to factor into the decision in his previous three starts despite registering a 1.76 ERA over that span. Assad is currently in line to start in Pittsburgh next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:24 pm

    • Jordan Westburg homers in win over Reds
Jordan Westburg went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a win over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Westburg jumped on Nick Lodolo in the first inning with a 378-foot home run that left the bat at 101.9 mph. It was Westburg’s sixth home run of the season to go along with 23 RBIs. It’s been a breakout month for the 25-year-old, but he’s seen his triple slash fall to .286/.336/.513 after going 6-for-28 over his last seven games. The quality of contact gains are real but Westburg is swinging and missing a lot more this season, so the batting average may continue to slip a little bit in the coming weeks. • Aaron Judge leaves the yard in win on Sunday
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 and launched his seventh home run of the season on Sunday as the Yankees defeated the Tigers.

Advice: Judge opened the scoring in the contest, crushing a 399-foot (109.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Tigers’ star southpaw Tarik Skubal in the home half of the first inning. He also doubled, drew a walk and struck out in the ballgame. On the season, the 32-year-old superstar is now hitting .220/.350/.439 with seven homers, 20 RBI and two stolen bases.
