    • Jon Gray likely to start Wednesday vs. Dodgers
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that Jon Gray is likely to start Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Bochy said that Gray is written “in pencil” to start that game, so it’s not a lock that the right-hander will get the ball in that contest. The right-hander threw 2 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball Saturday in relief after being activated off the 15-day injured list. Gray has been very effective when healthy in 2024 with a 2.12 ERA and 60/18 K/BB over 59 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 9:06 am

    • On bench Sunday
Marte is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Marte was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Nationals due to a right knee issue, but the 35-year-old outfielder was able to make the trip to London. He started in Saturday's 7-2 loss, going 2-for-4 with an RBI double in the first inning. With Marte beginning Sunday's game in the dugout, the lefty-hitting DJ Stewart will start in right field and bat fifth against Phillies right-hander Taijuan Walker. • Grabs steal in loss
Adell went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Adell is now 0-for-11 with two walks over his last four games. Over a longer span, he's gone just 3-for-53 with two walks and 24 strikeouts across his last 16 contests, though that brutal slump hasn't prevented him from seeing consistent playing time in right field. The outfielder is at a poor .190/.254/.429 slash line with nine steals, 11 home runs, 27 RBI, 26 runs scored, five doubles and a triple over 56 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:02 pm

    • Narrowly notches quality start
Gibson allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision versus Colorado on Saturday.

Advice: Gibson yielded a run in the first inning but then kept the Rockies off the scoreboard in each of the following four frames. However, the veteran right-hander ran into trouble in the sixth, surrendering a leadoff homer to Ezequiel Tovar and another pair of hits that plated an additional run. Gibson was allowed to finish off the inning to complete the quality start, and he was taken off the hook for a potential loss when St. Louis plated four unearned runs in the bottom of the frame. While the eight hits he allowed tied a season-worst mark and his final stat line wasn't overly impressive, the quality start was Gibson's second in his past three outings. • Two hits, stolen base in loss
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Bellinger reached on a two-out single in the first inning, and he then stole second and came around to score on a Dansby Swanson double. It was just Bellinger's third stolen base of the season after he swiped a career-best 20 bags last season. The 28-year-old is heating up at the dish with seven multi-hit efforts over his last 14 games, and he's accounted for all three of his steals over that stretch. • Sharp in return
Gray allowed one hit and one walk while striking out four over 2.1 scoreless innings in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Gray appeared in relief of Andrew Heaney on Saturday in the former's first appearance since May 21, after he was placed on the IL with a groin strain. The right-hander certainly looked healthy, as he struck out four of the nine batters he faced. Overall, Gray is 2-2 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 59.1 innings this year. He's currently scheduled to rejoin the rotation next week on the road versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:46 pm

    • Gibson allows three in no-decision Saturday
Kyle Gibson allowed three runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Gibson gave up eight hits, walked two and struck out seven. He was in line for the win before the Rockies scored three runs against the Cardinals bullpen in the seventh inning. The Cardinals bullpen also cost him a win in his last start. Gibson has been consistently good lately as he’s allowed more than three runs in only one of his last 10 starts. The 36-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs on the road next week.

    • Trevor Megill slams door on Tigers on Saturday
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Tigers on Saturday afternoon, working a perfect ninth inning to protect a one-run lead.

Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander made it look awfully easy again in this one, getting Matt Vierling on a ground ball to shortstop, Riley Greene on a fly ball to right and Mark Canha on a fly ball to center to end it. He has been outstanding overall on the season, posting a 2.12 ERA and a 24/4 K/BB ratio over 17 innings while converting nine of his first 10 save chances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:24 pm

    • Francisco Lindor reaches three times in London opener
Francisco Lindor went 2-for-4 with a walk on Saturday in the Mets’ loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Lindor was one of the few bright spots for the Mets during Saturday’s London Series opener as he wound up reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances. The 30-year-old shortstop is batting .300 (6-for-20) with one homer and one steal in six games since June 1. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:04 pm
