    • Bounces back in second rehab outing
Duran (oblique) struck out two over a scoreless inning Saturday in his second rehab appearance with Triple-A St. Paul. averaged 101.8 miles per with his fastball while striking out two in a scoreless inning in his second rehab appearance with Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.

Advice: In his first rehab appearance April 23, Duran allowed two runs on four hits and didn't have his typical velocity, but he looked more like his normal, dominant self Saturday. He averaged 101.8 miles per hour with his fastball Saturday and induced three swings and misses on the four splitters he threw. The Twins haven't announced when Duran will be activated from the 15-day injured list, but it could be any day now, and perhaps as soon as Monday, when the team begins a three-game series with the White Sox. Duran has been out all season with a right oblique strain. Rotowire.com Today, 6:21 am

    • Plates three runs in win
Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Padres.

Advice: Realmuto won the battle against Michael King in the sixth, sending a 421-foot blast to left center to put the Phillies up 6-3. He gave them some additional insurance with an RBI single in the seventh as well. Realmuto's now hit safely in six of his last seven games and has five RBI over his last three. For the year, he's slashing .245/.292/.429 with five homers, 14 RBI, 14 runs and a 6:28 BB:K in 106 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 3:06 am
    • Showcases power, speed
Lindor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two stolen bases during Sunday's 4-2 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Lindor notched his fourth homer over the last nine games, tagging Lance Lynn for a solo shot in the sixth frame. The shortstop also notched the 14th multi-steal game of his career, marking his second and third pilfers of the campaign. During his last nine appearances, Lindor is batting .306 with nine RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:46 pm
    • Walks four in no-decision
Elder didn't factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks against the Guardians. He struck out two.

Advice: Elder came back to earth after a dominant 2024 debut where he held the Marlins scoreless in 6.2 innings. He walked at least four batters for the ninth time in 42 career appearances but was able to keep Cleveland from notching a single extra-base hit. Elder is tentatively scheduled for a start against the Dodgers in LA on Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm
    • Slump continues
Carroll batted seventh and went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Carroll, who was dropped in the order Wednesday following a day off amid a slump, has hit seventh or eighth over the last four contests. It hasn't helped awake the bat. Carroll is 0-for-13 in those four games and is 1-for-25 with 11 strikeouts over the last seven. He's sitting at .189/.295/.236 with just five RBI over 27 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:49 pm
    • J.T. Realmuto clubs two-run homer in win Sunday
J.T. Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI on Sunday as the Phillies triumphed over the Padres in San Diego.

Advice: The hard-hitting backstop victimized Padres’ right-hander Michael King for a 421-foot (107.2 mph EV) two-run shot in the sixth inning that extended the Phillies’ lead to 6-3. He also added an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh inning. With his two-hit afternoon, Realmuto is now hitting .245/.292/.429 with five homers, 14 RBI and one stolen base (three attempts) on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:39 pm
    • Austin Gomber gives up four runs in loss to Astros
Austin Gomber yielded four runs in seven innings Sunday to take a loss to the Astros in Mexico City.

Advice: Considering that the pitching environment in Mexico City is typically significantly worse than in Coors Field, this is a solid enough showing for Gomber. That he has a 4.50 ERA after six starts is a nice surprise, particularly since he seemed totally lost while posting a 9.95 ERA this spring. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:26 pm
    • Coughs up three home runs
Gomber (0-2) yielded four runs on six hits over seven innings Sunday, striking out two and taking a loss against the Astros.

Advice: While Sunday's contest wasn't at Coors Field, it certainly played like a regular home game for Gomber. Houston took him deep three times, though all were solo shots. On the bright side, he retired 11 of the last 12 batters he faced despite forcing only four swinging strikes on 79 pitches. Gomber will carry a 4.50 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up to be in Pittsburgh next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:17 pm
    • Dane Dunning strikes out 10 in 69-pitch victory
Dane Dunning yielded two runs — one earned — in 5 1/3 innings and struck out 10 against the Reds in a win Sunday.

Advice: Dunning threw just 69 pitches, which is the fourth-lowest total in a 10-strikeout game since pitch-count data became complete in 1988. The lowest total is 55 pitches in 3 2/3 innings of relief work by Tyler Alexander in 2020. Norm Charlton struck out 10 in a 67-pitch start in 1989, and Chris Sale fanned 12 on just 68 pitches for the Red Sox six years ago. Dunning moved to 3-2 with a 4.13 ERA. He’ll be a decent play versus the Royals next time out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:42 pm
