    • Jordan Hicks strikes out five in win vs. Rockies
Jordan Hicks allowed three runs with five strikeouts over five innings in a win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Advice: After a clean first inning, a triple and a wild pitch brought the first run in to score for the Rockies in the second. Hicks ran into more trouble in the fifth, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk. His day was done after five frames on 92 pitches. He struck out five. The 27-year-old right-hander has enjoyed an early breakout as a starter, posting a 2.30 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 35/16 K/BB ratio across 43 innings. Hicks will take on the Dodgers in San Francisco on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:30 pm

    • Smacks third home run
Castro went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI during Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: The 27-year-old hit a solo shot off George Kirby in the second inning to break an 0-for-11 stretch at the plate, and Castro's RBI triple in the fourth gave the Twins some extra insurance, making it a 4-1 ballgame. Castro is now slashing .346/.370/.692 with three RBI and three stolen bases across his last seven games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:23 pm

    • Converts for second save
Hudson earned the save Wednesday against Miami, striking out one over a perfect inning.

Advice: Closer Evan Phillips (hamstring) landed on the injured list Sunday, and it didn't take long for Hudson to step in for the ninth inning. However, it was lefty Alex Vesia who tallied Los Angeles' first save Monday in the wake of the injury. Matchups could dictate which reliever manager Dave Roberts turns to while Phillips is sidelined, which should give Hudson an edge in volume since he's a right-hander. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:23 pm
    • Willi Castro homers and triples in win Wednesday
Willi Castro went 2-for-3 with a home run, triple, and two RBI in a 6-3 win over the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Castro snapped an 0-for-11 run, extending the Twins’ lead with a solo homer off George Kirby in the second inning. He drove in a second run with a triple in the fourth. The versatile 27-year-old is hitting a solid .273/.336/.471 with three homers, 18 runs scored, 14 RBI, and five steals across 134 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:39 pm

    • George Kirby surrenders four runs in loss to Twins
George Kirby allowed four runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Twins on Wednesday.

Advice: Kirby surrendered a pair of solo homers to Trevor Larnach and Carlos Correa in the first inning. Willi Castro got to Kirby in the second with a solo blast before driving in a fourth run with a triple in the fourth. Kirby tossed one more scoreless frame, ending his day after five at 70 pitches. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a 4.15 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 45/5 K/BB ratio across 43 1/3 innings. He’s lined up for a start against the Royals in Seattle on Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:33 pm
    • Jack Leiter hit for six runs in no-decision
Jack Leiter allowed six runs -- four earned -- with three strikeouts over four innings in a no-decision against the A’s on Wednesday.

Advice: Leiter’s second start of the season wasn’t much better than his first. After a clean first inning, Leiter gave up a two-run homer to Shea Langeliers to start the second. A throwing error in the third allowed a third run to score before Langeliers plated a fourth with a groundout. Tyler Soderstrom later took Leiter deep for a two-run homer in the fourth inning. The fourth inning would end it for Leiter, who’s give up 11 earned runs over his first two starts. It’s possible the 24-year-old right-hander will retreat back to Triple-A. • Not used in save opportunity
Sewald did not enter Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo used Kevin Ginkel to close out what was a 4-2 lead to begin the bottom of the ninth inning, but he ran into trouble, allowing a walk and two singles. Lovullo turned to Joe Mantiply to close out the game. Presumably, the manager didn't want to push Sewald so soon after missing a month-and-a-half with an oblique injury; he threw 15 pitches Tuesday in his first game off the injured list. • Elly De La Cruz swipes two more bags in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Wednesday’s loss to the Diamondbacks — and still managed to steal a pair of bases.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom reached base on a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning, then proceeded to steal second and third base before being stranded there. He has been an invaluable asset in fantasy leagues so far this season, slashing .254/.356/.516 with eight homers, 19 RBI and a league-leading 21 stolen bases (in 24 attempts). • Another start in center
Castro will start in center field and batting seventh for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: It's the 21st staight start for Castro, who has also been in the lineup at shortstop, third base and in left field during that stretch. Third base and center field will likely be Castro's primary homes for the foreseeable future while Royce Lewis (quadricep) and Byron Buxton (knee) remain on the injured list.
