A throwing error in the third allowed a third run to score before Langeliers plated a fourth with a groundout. Tyler Soderstrom later took Leiter deep for a two-run homer in the fourth inning. The fourth inning would end it for Leiter, who’s give up 11 earned runs over his first two starts. It’s possible the 24-year-old right-hander will retreat back to Triple-A. Presumably, the manager didn't want to push Sewald so soon after missing a month-and-a-half with an oblique injury; he threw 15 pitches Tuesday in his first game off the injured list.
