    • Castellanos has big game-winning hit
Nick Castellanos went 4-for-5 with a game-winning double in a 4-3 win over the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Castellanos came to the plate in a tie game in the ninth inning and blooped in a 78 mph double just beyond a sliding Fernando Tatis Jr. in right field. It was a much-needed big game for the veteran, who was hitting .203 in 14 games in June and is now hitting just .219 overall on the season. Castellanos is making more contact and striking out less this season, but he’s making less authoritative contact and really struggling to hit anything other than fastballs with a .134 AVG and .208 wOBA against off-speed pitches. He’ll continue to play regularly and hit in the middle of the Phillies’ lineup, but there aren’t many signs of a full-on bounceback here. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:54 pm

    • Jasson Domínguez out with oblique strain
Jasson Domínguez is dealing with an oblique strain.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed late Tuesday that Domínguez has been diagnosed with an oblique strain, which sent him to the minor league injured list over the weekend. The timing is really unfortunate for New York since there’s a possibility Aaron Judge could wind up requiring a trip to the injured list after being hit by a pitch on the left hand during Tuesday’s win over the Orioles. • Swipes bag Monday
Kelenic went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Monday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: The 24-year-old is thriving as Atlanta's leadoff hitter. Kelenic has a five-game hitting streak going in which he's batting .333 (7-for-21). Since Ronald Acuna (knee) was lost for the season May 26, Kelenic has stepped up in an everyday role, slashing .302/.338/.540 with three home runs, two steals, nine runs and nine RBI in 19 contests. • Goes yard again Sunday
Kelenic went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Rays.

Advice: The 24-year-old homered for the second straight game since moving into the leadoff spot. Kelenic has six long balls on the season, but three of them have come in the last seven games, and he's slashing .293/.341/.561 through 44 plate appearances in June. Rotowire.com Jun 17, 8:16 am
    • Ready for live at-bats
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Sunday that Edman (wrist) is expected to report to the rookie-level Florida Complex League or Single-A Palm Beach this week to take some at-bats and get in some defensive reps, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Mamol didn't explicitly say that Edman will begin a formal rehab assignment, so the 29-year-old may just be participating in simulated games this week at the Cardinals' spring facility in Florida. In any case, the activity marks another important step in the recovery process for Edman, who has been out all season while he ramps back up from October wrist surgery. Edman won a Gold Glove at second base in 2021 and logged 46 starts at shortstop in 2023, but the outfield might represent his clearest path to consistent playing time once he returns from the 60-day injured list. • Jasson Dominguez (undisclosed) placed on 7-day IL
Jasson Dominguez was placed on the 7-day IL by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: It’s not known why Dominguez was placed on the injured list at this time. The outfielder did miss the first two months of the season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and it’s possible there’s a correlation there. Dominguez is one of the best fantasy prospects in baseball, and assuming good health, he has a chance to be a contributor at some point this summer. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Jun 16, 9:36 am

    • Placed on IL at Triple-A
Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre placed Dominguez on its 7-day injured list Sunday with what Yankees manager Aaron Boone termed as a left side injury, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 21-year-old was formally activated from the Yankees' 60-day injured list earlier this week after a long recovery from Tommy John surgery and was subsequently optioned down to Triple-A. Over nine games at Triple-A thus far, Dominguez hasn't taken long to settle into a groove at the plate, as he was slashing .389/.405/.639 with five extra-base hits and two stolen bases prior to being deactivated. The extent of Dominguez's side injury isn't fully known yet, with Boone noting that the young outfielder is set to undergo further testing. Rotowire.com Jun 16, 9:25 am

    • Enjoys big game from leadoff spot
Kelenic went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 9-2 victory versus the Rays.

Advice: Kelenic batted out of the leadoff spot for the first time this season while also making his first start in center field as a result of Michael Harris (hamstring) landing on the injured list. Given his performance Saturday, Kelenic could lead off regularly against right-handers for as long as Harris is out. The lefty batter recorded his fourth three-hit effort of the campaign and gave Atlanta its first lead with a two-run blast in the fifth inning. Kelenic has accumulated a .269/.313/.425 slash line overall this season with five homers, 17 RBI, 19 runs and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Jun 15, 9:36 pm
    • Lifts seventh homer
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Rodriguez has two homers over his last three games and three of his seven long balls this year have come in June. The outfielder is batting .278 (15-for-54) over 14 contests this month, though Saturday was the first game since June 4 in which he didn't strike out. Over 73 games this season, Rodriguez is slashing .267/.317/.361 with 29 RBI, 36 runs scored and 16 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Jun 15, 9:16 pm
