    Gausman (6-6) picked up the win Tuesday in a 9-4 victory over the Red Sox, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.

    Advice: A Vladimir Guerrero error let Gausman squeak out his seventh quality start of the season, but the rest of the damage off the right-hander came on a Rafael Devers solo shot in the second inning and a two-run blast over the Green Monster by Tyler O'Neill in the sixth. Gausman has been taken deep eight times in his last five outings, a stretch in which he's stumbled to a 4.45 ERA despite a 1.11 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB through 32.1 innings.     Suarez allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

    Advice: Suarez has converted his last three save chances after a blown save June 18 versus the Phillies. He's now at 20 saves on the year, and he's the fifth pitcher in the majors to reach that milestone in 2024. Of those top-tier closers, Suarez's 1.09 ERA is second only to Cleveland's Emmanuel Clase (0.70). Suarez has also maintained a 0.79 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB over 33 innings this season.     Robert Suarez recorded his 20th save after allowing an unearned run in the ninth Tuesday against the Nationals.

    Phillips earned the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the White Sox, pitching a perfect inning with one strikeout.

    Advice: Phillips entered the ninth with a one-run lead and promptly retired the side on 14 pitches, including 10 strikes. The 29-year-old right-hander has been steady in June so far, pitching to a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 8:2 K:BB over nine innings with five saves.     Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

    Advice: Ramirez doubled and scored in the first inning and hit a three-run home run in the fourth. It was the third baseman's second straight game with a homer and fifth multi-hit effort since June 18.   • Gausman has quality start against Red Sox
    Kevin Gausman allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits in six innings in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

    Advice: Gausman struck out five and walked one on the day but did allow two home runs, which accounted for all but one of the runs scored against him. The 33-year-old’s fastball averaged 94 mph on the day, which is up from his season average and he got seven whiffs on 24 swings on that pitch. However, he was only able to get 10 whiffs overall on the day for a 20 percent whiff rate and 25 percent CSW. He had just a 38 percent zone rate on the splitter, and he’s been struggling to get whiffs on that pitch over the last few starts.
