• Corbin Carroll doubles twice in loss to White Sox
Corbin Carroll hit two doubles while scoring twice in a loss to the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Carroll was one of the few hitters who had any success against Erick Fedde and the White Sox bullpen, and he scored the only two runs in the contest for the D-Backs. It’s nice to see some extra-base hits from the 23-year-old, as he had picked up just three of them this month prior to Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm
  • Laces triple in loss
Rooker went 1-for-5 with an RBI triple in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Rooker's seventh-inning three-bagger plated JJ Bleday to snap a 4-4 tie, giving the Athletics a temporary reprieve after they'd blown an early 4-0 lead. The triple was Rooker's second of the season -- a new career high -- and marked his first extra-base hit since June 4. The veteran outfielder has now hit safely in five of his last seven games, but he's also carrying a .172 average and 43.3 percent strikeout rate across the 30 plate appearances he's logged in that span. • Key knock as pinch hitter
Lowe went 1-for-1 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored Thursday against the Cubs.

Advice: Lowe began the game on the bench with lefty Justin Steele on the mound but entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. He made an immediate impact with an RBI single and also tallied his first stolen base of the season. Lowe has gone only 2-for-18 since being activated from the injured list June 5 while striking out eight times. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:13 pm

  • Lowe pinch hits, steals base to spark win Thursday
Josh Lowe went 1-for-1 with a run scored, an RBI, and a stolen base against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Lowe was on the bench to begin the game with the Rays facing a left-handed pitcher. The stolen base was his first of the year. He came off the bench and started the scoring for the Rays in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single. He later stole second and scored what turned out to be the winning run. Lowe had been 0-for-13 with two walks in his previous five games. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:21 pm

  • Out against left-hander
Lowe is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Cubs.

Advice: The Cubs are sending southpaw Justin Steele to the hill in the rubber match, so the left-handed hitting Lowe will begin the game on the bench. Jonny DeLuca is playing right field for the Rays. Rotowire.com Thursday, 12:21 pm

  • Taking seat Thursday
Stanton is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Kansas City.

Advice: Stanton slugged home runs in the second and third games of the series but has bookended the power output with days off in the first and now the fourth games. Aaron Judge will get a day out of the outfield and serve as the Yankees' designated hitter Thursday while Stanton rests. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:32 am

  • Homers in second straight game
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Wednesday in an 11-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Stanton flexed his power with a 449-foot two-run blast in the fifth inning. It was his second straight game with a home run after an ugly weekend set against the Dodgers during which he went 0-for-14 with seven punchouts. Stanton is up to 17 homers and 40 RBI on the campaign along with a .233/.288/.491 slash line. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:42 pm

  • Giancarlo Stanton goes yard in blowout win
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Stanton took Daniel Lynch deep for a two-run shot in the fifth inning to extend the Yankees big lead over the Royals. He then knocked a base hit in the seventh and scored on a three-run blast by Gleyber Torres. It was Stanton’s second straight game with two hits and one homer. The 34-year-old slugger is slashing .233/.288/.491 with 17 homers and 40 RBI across 250 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:03 pm
