    Miller did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 win against the White Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over two innings. He struck out one.

    Advice: The Dodgers right-hander labored through just two innings against a feeble White Sox lineup, requiring 60 pitches with only 32 percent being in the zone. Miller has been unsteady since returning from the injured list June 19, generating a 8.64 ERA and 3:4 K:BB across 8.1 innings versus two weak opponents -- Chicago and Colorado.   • Bobby Miller allows 3 ER in short outing vs. CWS
    Bobby Miller allowed three earned runs over two innings in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

    Advice: Miller surrendered a two-run homer to Andrew Benintendi in the bottom of the first inning, and later saw an Eloy Jiménez double bring Luis Robert Jr. around to score. Miller allowed four baserunners in the frame and needed 38 pitches to get out of the inning but was pulled after the second inning and 60 pitches. It was just Miller’s fifth start of the season and his second-shortest outing on the year, as he was erratic for much of the night, with only 33 of his pitches going for strikes. The young righty has allowed three earned runs or more in three of his starts this season and saw his ERA jump to 6.75 after Tuesday’s outing.     Peralta allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings in a no-decision against Texas on Monday.

    Advice: Peralta pitched pretty well in the outing, but he could go only five frames as a result of throwing 104 pitches. That's been a theme for the right-hander of late, as he's completed six innings in only one of his past six starts despite allowing three or fewer earned runs in five of those outings. Peralta's 4.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the campaign are on pace for his worst marks since 2019, though he's been able to rack up 112 strikeouts (fifth-most in the majors) over 87 innings.     Ragans (5-5) earned the win over Miami on Monday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out 11 batters over six innings.

    Advice: Ragans racked up 27 swings-and-misses -- the most by any pitcher in baseball this season -- en route to his first win since May 22. Despite the five-game stretch of starts without a victory, the southpaw has been pitching well, as he posted a 2.70 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 33:9 K:BB during the drought. Ragans' 11 punchouts Monday were his second-most this season, and he ranks third in MLB with 120 strikeouts on the campaign. He is also tied for third in the majors with 12 quality starts.     Advice: Peralta got 15 whiffs tonight, but he ran up a pitch count of 104 in five innings, preventing him from working any deeper into the game. He’s finished six innings just once in his last six starts, which is a real problem given that he’s supposed to be the ace of a rotation that’s quite shorthanded at the moment.   • Ragans records 11 strikeouts on way to fifth win
    Cole Ragans allowed one run in six innings and got the win in the Royals’ 4-1 victory over the Marlins on Monday.

    Advice: Ragans gave up four hits, walked three and struck out 11. The win was his fifth of the season and first since May 22nd against the Tigers. Ragans is third in all of baseball with 120 strikeouts on the season trailing only Tyler Glasnow and Garrett Crochet. He lowered his ERA to 3.03 on the year. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Guardians at home this weekend.

  • Aaron Nola starts triple play, tames Tigers in win
    Aaron Nola yielded one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Tigers.

    Advice: Nola did what he’s done best throughout his career in this one, cruising into the late innings after being staked to a massive lead before even taking the mound at pitcher-friendly Comerica Park. He struck out six batters and didn’t hand out a free pass. A run-scoring single from Carson Kelly in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him over seven strong frames. He also started an ultra-rare 1-3-5 triple play in the third inning of this one, which was the first in the big leagues since 1929 and only third of its kind in big-league history. The 31-year-old upper-echelon fantasy contributor is prone to the occasional blow-up, but he’s allowed three earned runs or fewer in 13 of his 16 outings this season.     Nola (9-3) picked up the win Monday against Detroit, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks while striking out six over seven innings.

    Advice: Nola allowed just one extra-base hit, limiting the Tigers to just one run to notch his sixth quality start over his past seven outings. Despite getting shelled by the Red Sox for eight earned runs on June 13, the 31-year-old owns a robust 3.54 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and a 84:25 K:BB over 94 innings.   • Tosses first career complete game
    Ober (7-4) earned the win over Oakland on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over nine innings.

    Advice: Ober was extremely efficient in the impressive outing, needing just 89 pitches to polish off the first complete game of his career. The right-hander threw 70 of those pitches for strikes and racked up a career-best 23 whiffs. Ober did give up a pair of solo homers -- just the third time through 15 starts that he's allowed multiple home runs -- but those didn't hurt much with Minnesota's offense putting up 10 runs.
