• Ober allows one run in win over Athletics Sunday
Bailey Ober allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Sunday.

Advice: Ober gave up six hits, walked two and struck out eight. The win was his sixth of the year. The lone run off of Ober came on a Daz Cameron home run in the seventh inning. Home runs have been a problem for him this season. Ober has allowed 1.48 HR/9, which has been a contributing factor as to why his ERA is 4.81 despite a 4.04 xFIP. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Athletics on the road next week.

  • Vlad Jr. has three-hit game in win Sunday
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: Guerrero was 1-for-17 (.059) with one walk in his last five games. While the three hits were good to see, his power is still a concern. Guerrero’s .122 ISO is a career-low and with seven home runs so far he’s going to have to pick up the pace to even repeat the 26 home runs he hit last season.

  • Ryan Helsley nabs league-leading 24th save
Ryan Helsley closed out the Cubs on Sunday. He struck out one, walked two, and stranded both runners on base.

Advice: Helsely got into some trouble in the ninth inning and was bailed out by Brendan Donovan who made a catch crashing into the ivy at Wrigley Field to end the game. Helsley is fully back to being one of the best closers in baseball after an injury-marred 2023 season. Rotoworld Today, 1:06 pm
  • Resting for day game
Alvarez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Alvarez will get a breather for the day game Sunday after he started behind the plate Friday and Saturday. Luis Torrens will step in as the Mets' starting catcher in place of Alvarez, who has gone 2-for-14 with two RBI through his first four starts since returning from the 10-day injured list Tuesday. • Remains hot in loss
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Candelario had two of Cincinnati's five hits, including a ninth-inning double that plated the club's lone run. The once-struggling infielder is having himself a June, going 20-for-56 (.357) with six home runs, four doubles and 14 RBI through 13 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:00 am

  • Homers in loss
Soto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Soto recently battled a forearm injury, and that may have been bothering him during an eight-game stretch without a homer. He also walked multiple times for the sixth time in 11 contests in June. The outfielder continues to put up superstar numbers with 18 homers, 55 RBI, 58 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .319/.435/.599 slash line over 70 games this season. • Jeimer Candelario has two hits, RBI in loss
Jeimer Candelario went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: It’s been quite a month for Candelario, who is now 20-for-56 (.357) with six home runs and 14 RBI in 13 games in June. The 30-year-old will remain a fixture in the Reds’ lineup, even when Noelvi Marte returns, and is looking to continue the progress he showed last year with the Nationals and Cubs. He shouldn’t be on waiver wires anymore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:34 pm

  • Juan Soto blasts 18th homer in loss on Saturday
Juan Soto blasted his 18th home run of the season on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees past the Red Sox in Boston.

Advice: Soto victimized Justin Slaten for his 392-foot (105.1 mph EV) solo shot in the seventh inning that pulled the Bombers to within two runs at 5-3. He also drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the evening 1-for-3 officially. The 25-year-old superstar has been a monster in his first season with the Yankees — slashing .319/.435/.599 with the aforementioned 18 long balls and 55 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm

  • Crosses plate twice in win
Springer went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Guardians.

Advice: It's the first time since May 29 that Springer has scored multiple runs. Consistent success at the plate continues to elude the veteran outfielder -- he's batting just .156 (7-for-45) in June with one homer, one steal, three RBI and six runs over 13 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:21 pm
