• David Hamilton homers, doubles in Boston’s win
David Hamilton homered in the fifth and doubled and scored the tying run in the ninth as the Red Sox came back to beat the Red Sox 6-4 on Sunday.

Advice: Hamilton doubled off Tanner Banks, stole third and then scored on a sac fly to even the game at 4-4. The Red Sox then pulled ahead on a Jamie Westbrook sac fly in the 10th. Hamilton’s defense at shortstop is lacking and the 25% strikeout rate isn’t great, but he’s been quite good in hitting .282/.339/.436 with 13 steals in 127 plate appearances for the Red Sox. The speed makes him playable in mixed leagues for as long as he continues to start most of the time. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:48 pm
  • Steals base in loss
Hamilton started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Hamilton got the start at shortstop, as Ceddanne Rafaela was needed in Boston's short-staffed outfield. Tyler O'Neill's balky knee will keep him out of Sunday's series finale, which likely means another start for Hamilton. He's stolen three bases over the last two games and has 12 over 40 games. • Reaches 15-steal mark
Rengifo went 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Rengifo is one of 11 players to reach 15 steals so far this season, though he's also been caught five times. He's gone 0-for-8 over the last two games after opening June with a five-game hitting streak. The infielder is slashing .312/.361/.447 with four home runs, 18 RBI and 24 runs scored over 48 contests as one of the top hitters in the Angels' lineup. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:59 pm

  • Swipes two bags off bench
Hamilton entered Friday's game after Tyler O'Neill (knee) was removed and went 0-for-3 with two steals in a 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: After O'Neill's removal, the Red Sox made several adjustments, including Hamilton entering at shortstop and Ceddanne Rafaela moving to the outfield. Hamilton now has 11 steals for the season, second on the team. The Red Sox are dealing with several outfield injuries -- O'Neill, Wilyer Abreu (ankle) and Masataka Yoshida (thumb) -- and may not be able to get by with Rafaela at shortstop in the short term. In that event, Hamilton could be a regular at short. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:37 am
