    Corey Seager is not in the starting lineup for the Rangers’ game against the Phillies on Thursday.

    Advice: It’s a day game after a night game in conditions that figure to be wet and gross, so it’s the perfect time to give Seager a breather. The shortstop has been heating up of late, hitting a home run in each of the last three games and six in his last 16 days. Even with the slow start to the season, his plate discipline metrics remained elite, so it was only a matter of time before he started to put up early-round fantasy value. The shortstop has gone yard in three straight games and has hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games.     Corey Seager went 2-for-3 with a homer, single, and two walks on Wednesday in a loss to the Phillies.

    Seager went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Seager had a rough time against Phillies starter Ranger Suarez, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts to start the day. However, he'd turn his night around with a solo home run off Jeff Hoffman in the eighth inning, cutting Texas' deficit to 3-2. The long ball extended Seager's hitting streak to six games -- he's gone 7-for-22 (.318) with three homers in that span.     Rengifo went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Astros.

    Advice: Rengifo got the Angels on the board quickly with a two-run blast off Christian Javier in the opening frame. He later plated a third run in the fourth on a base knock. He's now tallied at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, which includes 13 hits and a .371 average over his last eight games. He's regularly been hitting first or second since coming back from the injured list last week and is now slashing ,316/.366/.474 with three homers, 15 RBI, 16 runs and an 8:18 BB:K in 124 plate appearances.   • Luis Rengifo hits two-run homers against Astros
    Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

    Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better.   • Corey Seager homers in loss to Phillies
    Corey Seager went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.

    Advice: Seager crushed an offering from Jeff Hoffman 103.3 mph off the bat and 380 feet for his seventh home run of the year. It was also his fifth home run in 18 games in May as the power is starting to show up. However, Seager also had four strike outs on Tuesday and is still hitting just .246/.335/.383 on the season.     Rengifo went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

    Advice: Rengifo has gone 4-for-18 with three steals, one RBI and two extra-base hits over four contests since he returned from an illness. The infielder is slashing .312/.364/.450 with two home runs, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored and 12 thefts through 32 games this season. Rengifo's running far more this season, and his defensive utility gives him some extra upside in fantasy even if it's unlikely he maintains his steady hitting. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:30 pm
