• Starting Friday
Correa (wrist) is playing shortstop and batting second Friday against Seattle.

Advice: Correa was removed from Thursday's game after being hit by a pitch, but he won't require a day off due to the bruised right wrist. He went 4-for-9 with four runs and two RBI during the Twins' three-game series against Arizona. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago

  • Carlos Correa (wrist) returns to lineup on Friday
Carlos Correa (wrist) returned to the Twins’ starting lineup for Friday night’s series opener against the Mariners.

Advice: The 29-year-old shortstop was drilled in the right wrist by a fastball during Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks. Correa told reporters afterwards that he was fine though and that he planned to play on Friday, and true to his word he’s in the lineup and batting second against Logan Gilbert and the M’s on Friday evening in Seattle. On the season, Correa is slashing a healthy .309/.380/.494 to go along with eight homers and 38 RBI in 267 plate appearances. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago

  • Masyn Winn absent from Cardinals lineup on Friday
Masyn Winn is absent from the Cardinals’ starting lineup for Friday’s battle against the Reds.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 22-year-old rookie shortstop. Brandon Crawford will draw a rare start in his place and will bat eighth for the Cardinals against Reds’ right-hander Frankie Montas on Friday evening in St. Louis. Rotoworld Today, 1:00 pm

  • Dropped from 40-man roster
The Rockies designated Trejo for assignment Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Trejo had seen semi-regular playing time in June while Brendan Rodgers was injured, but he went just 6-for-29 (.207) with four runs and an RBI since the start of the month. Trejo will hand over his spot on the 40-man and 26-man roster to Aaron Schunk, who'll provide some infield depth for the Rockies. Rotowire.com Today, 12:37 pm

  • Rockies designate Alan Trejo for assignment
Rockies designated INF Alan Trejo for assignment.

Advice: Trejo lost his 40-man spot over the winter, only to make the Rockies as non-roster player this spring. Alas, he hit just .143/.182/.143 in 67 plate appearances in his utility role. Trejo is a fine defender, but since he has so little to offer offensively, he’ll probably clear waivers again. Rotoworld Today, 12:37 pm

De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple, a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's win over St. Louis.

Advice: De La Cruz kicked things off for Cincinnati with an RBI triple in the first to score Jonathan India. The star shortstop would then add another two singles in the contest, giving him his fifth three-hit performance this month, and third in his last six games. Over that latter stretch De La Cruz is batting .464 (13-for-28) with two homers, four RBI and seven runs scored. He also swiped his league-leading 38th bag Thursday after failing to record a steal over his previous eight games. Rotowire.com Today, 4:22 am
