    Andrew Vaughn homered and drove in the game-winning run Thursday against the Mariners.

    Advice: Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr. went back-to-back in the third inning to give the White Sox a 2-0 lead. He also hit into a fielder’s choice in the 10th that score what ended up being the game-winning run. The first baseman has now homered eight times in 2024, and he’s started to swing the bat at a much better level in June with a slash of .361/.395/.667 over the month.   • Key knock as pinch hitter
    Lowe went 1-for-1 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored Thursday against the Cubs.

    Advice: Lowe began the game on the bench with lefty Justin Steele on the mound but entered as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning. He made an immediate impact with an RBI single and also tallied his first stolen base of the season.   • Soderstrom blasts fourth home run Thursday
    Tyler Soderstrom went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Twins on Thursday.

    Advice: Soderstrom took Joe Ryan out in the second inning for a two-run home run when Ryan hung a splitter. It was his fourth home run of the season. Soderstrom once again started at first base.   • Buxton has three hits, two RBI in win Thursday
    Byron Buxton went 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBI against the Athletics on Thursday.

    Advice: Buxton is now 9-for-23 (.391) with a home run and five RBI in his last six games. It’s been a good week for Buxton, who has looked like a shell of himself for most of the season. His average is up to .244 with four home runs and a .688 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:47 pm
     
  • Tallies two hits, steal in win
    Canha went 2-for-3 with two RBI in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Nationals. He also stole a base.

    Advice: Canha extended his hitting streak to three games, and he's recorded a stolen base in two of those contests. That gives the veteran four steals for the season, and while he's not known for his speed at this point in his career, Canha did swipe 11 bases last year in 12 chances. He's a smart and efficient baserunner who can contribute a little bit in that category, though fantasy managers shouldn't expect huge numbers the rest of the way.   • Crushes three-run homer in win
    O'Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 9-3 win over the Phillies on Thursday.

    Advice: O'Neill singled in the first inning then broke the game open in the fourth, crushing a three-run homer off Aaron Nola that traveled 430 feet over the Green Monster. After returning at DH from a knee injury Wednesday, O'Neill got the start in right field and hit his first home run since May 19. O'Neill endured a terrible May, hitting .151 with two home runs and five RBI over 73 at-bats but has opened June going 7-for-16 with a homer and five RBI in just five contests. Health has always been a concern for O'Neill, as he has eclipsed 100 games played in a season just once, but he is now slashing .256/.356/.512 with 12 home runs in 2024.   • O’Neill crushes 12th home run Thursday
    Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

    Advice: O’Neill’s home run was his 12th and his first since May 19th against St. Louis. He was back in right field after missing Tuesday’s game with knee discomfort and occupying the designated hitter spot on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with these developments.   • J.D. Martinez hits walk-off blast against Marlins
    J.D. Martinez slugged a game-winning two-run homer on Thursday, lifting the Mets to a 3-2 walk-off victory over the Marlins.

    Advice: Martinez’s walk-off shot came against Marlins stopper Tanner Scott in the bottom of the ninth inning and was his sixth round-tripper of the year. It was also somehow his first career walk-off homer in 14 seasons in the big leagues since 2011. He’s now hitting .271 with 21 RBI in 41 games for the Mets this year.   • Burger blasts sixth home run Thursday
    Jake Burger went 1-for-3 with a walk and a home run against the Mets on Thursday.

    Advice: Burger’s home run was just his sixth of the season in 47 games after homering 34 times in 141 games last year. His .128 ISO isn’t even half of the .268 ISO he had last year. On the bright side, he’s 21-for-64 (.328) with three home runs in his last 16 games to bring his average up to .222. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:00 pm
