• Mauricio Dubón goes 0-for-4 against Rockies
Mauricio Dubón went 0-for-4 as the Astros’ center fielder Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Jake Meyers isn’t supposed to be hurt, but he hasn’t started since taking a pitch off his forearm on Wednesday. Dubón has played center field in two of the last three games, while Chas McCormick slid over to center on Saturday. Dubón’s .279/.302/.393 line isn’t anything special, and while he’s fine there, he’s not quite the center fielder that Meyers is. He really shouldn’t be getting the majority of the playing time. • Anthony Volpe homers, reaches four times
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and two walks Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: A much-improved game for Volpe, who came into the day 7-for-47 with no homers and a 16/1 K/BB ratio in his previous 11 games. The Yankees haven’t wavered on using him as a leadoff man, even though he’s mostly struggled since moving up two weeks into the season. It’s definitely best for his fantasy value if they keep him there. Rotoworld Today, 3:13 pm

  • Maikel Garcia picks up hit in loss
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a double in loss to the Tigers.

Advice: It wasn’t a tremendous performance from Garcia, but the Royals had just four hits on the day. The double gave Garcia a hit in eight of his last 10 games to up his slash line to .223/.276/.384. If he was dropped after his cold stretch, you should be adding him because the 24-year-old remains a talented hitter who will play every day in Kansas City. Rotoworld Today, 1:46 pm

  • On bench Sunday
Ahmed is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Ahmed started the previous 12 games but will take a seat Sunday after he posted a .616 OPS during that stretch. Tyler Fitzgerald will receive a start at shortstop and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 pm

  • Checks out of starting nine
Moore is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After starting each of the past four games at shortstop while producing three hits and adding two stolen bases and one run over 12 at-bats, Moore will give way to Leonardo Rivas in the series finale. Moore should still see the bulk of the starts at shortstop for the duration of J.P. Crawford's (oblique) stay on the injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 11:37 am

  • Takes seat Sunday
Alexander is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Alexander has gone 9-for-24 with five doubles, a homer, nine RBI and four runs over his past seven games, but he'll head to the bench Sunday. Kevin Newman will start at shortstop in the series finale at Seattle. Rotowire.com Today, 11:21 am

  • Nick Ahmed out of lineup Sunday vs. Pirates
Nick Ahmed is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Ahmed will take a seat, and it sounds like the infielder is a little banged up at the moment; although there is no injury designation thus far. He did tell Susan Slusser that he is available off the bench if necessary. Tyler Fitzgerald gets the start in Ahmed’s place. Rotoworld Today, 11:10 am

  • Shelved at Triple-A
Triple-A Albuquerque placed Jones on its 7-day injured list Tuesday with an unspecified injury.

Advice: Jones hit .250 with one home run and 12 stolen bases in 75 plate appearances with Albuquerque before being shelved with the injury. Rotowire.com Today, 11:08 am

  • Returns to lineup Sunday
Cruz (ankle) is starting at shortstop and batting third Sunday against the Giants, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Cruz was held out of the lineup Saturday after he tweaked his ankle in Friday's series opener, but he's back in the starting nine Sunday. The 25-year-old is without a home run since April 13 and has a .205/.286/.250 slash line and 38.8 percent strikeout rate during that 13-game stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 10:53 am
