    • Steals home, goes yard
Duran went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a steal of home base during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: The Red Sox executed a first-and-third double-steal perfectly in the eighth inning, as the throw to second to catch Rafael Devers stealing was cut off early and returned to home wasn't in time to tag the speedy Duran. Duran has hit safely in seven straight games, batting 10-for-27 (.370) with a pair of triples, solo home runs and stolen bases during that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 9:45 pm

    • Jarren Duran homers, steals home vs. Rays
Jarren Duran went 1-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday’s win over the Rays.

Advice: Duran hit his third homer of the season in the sixth inning to tie the game at 2-2. In the top of the eighth inning, Durran caught the defense sleeping when he stole home after Rays catcher Ben Rortvedt threw down to second to try and catch Rafael Devers stealing. The Red Sox left fielder has now hit safely in seven straight games and is hitting .278 in the month of May.

    • Activated Tuesday
McCormick (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: McCormick has missed all of May with hamstring soreness, but he'll return to the active roster after a six-game rehab stint. The 29-year-old went 5-for-23 with a pair of doubles and a stolen base in the minors. While McCormick should end up as the Astros' starting left fielder, he's likely to split time with Joey Loperfido and could see more DH work considering the fragility of a hamstring injury. • Astros active Chas McCormick (hamstring) off IL
Astros activated OF Chas McCormick off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Trey Cabbage was optioned to Triple-A in the corresponding transaction. McCormick missed three weeks with his right hamstring strain. The outfielder should get a chance to play, but Houston does have a bit of an outfield jam with Joey Loperfido and Jake Meyers also likely to see time for Houston. Rotoworld Today, 12:06 pm

    • Moving rehab to Double-A
The Yankees transferred Dominguez's (elbow) rehab assignment to Double-A Somerset on Tuesday.

Advice: The 21-year-old began the rehab stint with Single-A Tampa last week and will move up to Somerset after going 5-for-13 with a double and four walks in four games. Dominguez is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre once he completes the rehab assignment since there's no opening for him in New York's current outfield alignment. • On bench for Game 2
Merrill is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader in Atlanta.

Advice: Merrill started in center field in Game 1 and went 1-for-4 with two RBI, as he brought home San Diego's first two runs on a groundout and a single. Jose Azocar will take over in center field for the nightcap. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:43 pm

    • Won't be activated Monday
Astros manager Joe Espada said that McCormick (hamstring) will not be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game versus the Angels, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: However, McCormick is with the Astros at Minute Maid Park and will go through a pregame workout. His activation will come "soon," per Espada, with Tuesday seeming like a distinct possibility. McCormick has been out for all of May with a right hamstring injury. • Making final rehab appearance
McCormick (hamstring) is expected to rejoin the Astros after serving as Triple-A Sugar Land's designated hitter Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It's the sixth rehab outing for McCormick, who so far has gone 3-for-19 with a double, an RBI and five strikeouts. The 29-year-old has struggled early in 2024 with a .236/.325/.278 slash line through 21 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:19 pm

    • McCormick (hamstring) to rejoin Astros this week
Chas McCormick (hamstring) will be the designated hitter for Triple-A Corpus Christi before rejoining the Astros in the coming days.

Advice: McCormick has been out of the lineup since the start of May due to his right hamstring strain. The outfielder will get one more minor-league game before being an outfield option for the Astros in the coming days. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:13 am
