      Luis Robert Jr. (hip) belted a solo homer on Tuesday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

      Advice: Robert made some noise right away in his first rehab contest at the Triple-A level with a towering blast in his first at-bat of the night. He finished 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart will likely get a couple more rehab games under his belt before returning to Chicago, but he’s not far away at this juncture.       The Rangers activated Langford (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: The 22-year-old has been on the shelf more than three weeks due to a hamstring injury but will rejoin the Rangers after a three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock. Langford was struggling offensively before going on the injured list, as he was in the midst of a 3-for-28 slump. Evan Carter (back) was moved to the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.       Advice: Langford will make his highly-anticipated return for Tuesday’s showdown against Arizona on the heels of a three-week absence recovering from a right hamstring strain. The 22-year-old top prospect hasn’t exactly set the fantasy landscape ablaze following a sizzling-hot spring training performance, batting .224/.295/.293 with one homer, 11 RBI and one steal in 129 plate appearances over 31 contests.       Advice: The veteran outfielder opened the scoring in the second inning when he lifted a first-pitch fastball from Nick Nastrini over the fence in left field. Springer snapped a 22-game homer drought with the blast, a stretch in which he slashed a woeful .136/.191/.173. He hasn't failed to hit 20 home runs in a full season since 2015, but the 34-year-old has his work cut out for him this summer to reach that mark again -- Springer has only four long balls through Toronto's first 53 games.       Advice: Springer set the tone early for Toronto with a second-inning blast off White Sox rookie Nick Nastrini. It was just his fourth round-tripper of the season and first time he’s gone deep since April 24.       Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder started the day on the bench with southpaw Martin Perez pitching for Pittsburgh, but he was pressed into duty when Ronald Acuna (knee) went down and scored multiple runs in a game for the first time in 2024. Kelenic has only five plate appearances against lefties so far this year, and his third-inning single off Perez was his first hit against one, but with Acuna now lost for the season, Atlanta may not be able to limit Kelenic to a strict platoon role.
