      Advice: Diaz threw 21 pitches during his mound session, and manager Carlos Mendoza said afterward that there is a good chance the 30-year-old reliever begins a rehab assignment in the minors Thursday. It's unclear how many minor-league reps the Mets will give their star closer, but the fact Diaz is already able to begin an assignment likely signals that he will only require a minimum-length stint on the IL.       Advice: Díaz threw a bullpen session on Tuesday without any issues and the Mets are hoping to have one of their primary closing options back on June 11, when first eligible to return. The electrifying 30-year-old righty hit the injured list back in late May with a right shoulder impingement.       Fairbanks allowed one hit during one scoreless inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Orioles.

      Advice: Fairbanks worked around a two-out single to pick up his sixth save. It was his third save since May 11, when he made his return from a stint on the IL. Over the three weeks since his return, he's appeared in 10 games and has yet to allow an earned run while allowing nine baserunners and striking out nine over 10 innings.       Evan Phillips tossed a perfect ninth inning on Saturday against the Rockies to collect his ninth save of the season.

      Advice: Phillips got the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and required just 11 pitches (seven strikes) to slam the door. The 29-year-old righty picked up his first save since returning from the injured list ahead of Friday’s series opener and remains one of the better closing options in the entire fantasy landscape.       Phillips pitched a perfect inning and struck out one to earn the save in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: This was Phillips' first appearance in nearly a month due to a hamstring strain. He looked rust-free, throwing 11 pitches (seven strikes) to set down the bottom of the Rockies' order for his ninth save of the season. Phillips has a 0.61 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB over 14.2 innings, and he's yet to take a blown save this year. It doesn't appear he'll be eased into the closer role again, not that he needs to be handled with kid gloves considering his track record in high-leverage spots over the last two years.       Advice: Munoz's scoreless streak is up to six innings, and he allowed just one run over 13.1 innings in May while converting all seven of his save chances during the month. The closer is 12-for-13 in save chances this year. He's been hard to hit with a 1.42 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 35:8 K:BB over 25.1 innings as the Mariners' top ninth-inning option.
