    • On base thrice in return
France (heel), activated from the injured list earlier in the day, started at first base in Tuesday's win over the Guardians and went 0-for-2 with three walks and a run.

Advice: While there was no big hit to commemorate the veteran's return from a minimum-length stay on the IL, France was a thorn in the side of Guardians pitching all night with his constant trips on the basepaths. Now apparently back to full health, France heads into the home stretch of June carrying an outstanding .295/.456/.523 slash line with six extra-base hits and 10 RBI in his last 15 games (57 plate appearances). • Idle Tuesday
Santana is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Santana will get the day off Tuesday after making five consecutive starts at first base. Jose Miranda will fill in for Santana at first and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:27 pm

    • Mariners activate Ty France (heel) off injured list
Mariners activated INF Ty France off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: France missed just the minimum time on the injured list despite suffering a fractured heel. Interestingly, the Mariners aren’t sending Tyler Locklear — France’s replacement — to Tacoma as the corresponding transaction, but instead designated catcher Seby Zavala for assignment. The question now is what kind of role Locklear will have, as France is expected to resume the regular role as starting first baseman. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:33 am
    • Back from injured list
The Mariners activated France (heel) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: France missed the minimum 10 days with a right heel fracture and will skip a rehab assignment, going right back onto the Mariners' 26-man active roster. Tyler Locklear has been filling in at first base for France and remains on the roster, but France should go back to seeing the bulk of the starts at first base for Seattle. • Homer, steal in day game
Santana went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in a 6-2 win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Santana also went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored in the nightcap. The first baseman is batting .326 (15-for-46) with three homers and two steals over 13 contests in June, a stretch that's helped him claim a starting role at first base since Alex Kirilloff was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul. Santana is at a .235/.316/.425 slash line with 11 homers, 36 RBI, 26 runs scored and two steals through 66 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:45 pm

    • Ty France (heel) to take BP before Sunday’s game
Ty France (heel) ran the bases before Sunday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: France will also take part in batting practice prior to the game. The 29-year-old has been on the shelf since last Sunday with a fracture in his right heel. The infielder has a chance to return in the next few days if he continues to make progress, and likely won’t need a rehab assignment. Rotoworld Sunday, 11:17 am
    • Nine-game hitting streak
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a walk Saturday against Atlanta.

Advice: Diaz extended his hitting streak to nine games with the performance, during which he's collected multiple hits on five occasions. He's hitting .359 in that span, though his production has otherwise been empty as he has zero extra-base hits, one RBI and three runs scored. Diaz has managed only a .094 ISO across 309 plate appearances for the campaign, so his lack of power has not been a short-term issue. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:55 am

    • Diaz has two hits in win over Cubs Thursday
Yandy Diaz went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Diaz’ RBI single was the difference in the 3-2 Rays win. The defending batting champion in the American League is heating up at the plate. He’s now 17-for-50 (.340) in his last 12 games to get his average up to .260 on the season.

    • Ty France (heel) likely to return next week
Ty France (heel) has progressed to hitting without any limitations.

Advice: France is pain-free at the moment and appears poised to return early next week when first eligible to be activated from the injured list. The big question for fantasy managers is whether top prospect Tyler Locklear will be shipped out to the minors once he’s ready to return. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:12 pm
