      Ronel Blanco gave up four runs over 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Cardinals.

      Advice: Blanco has cooled off a bit of late after opening the season in dominant fashion, failing to complete six frames in five of his last seven starts since April 27. He gave up five hits, including a solo homer to Nolan Arenado, and finished with only a pair of strikeouts in this one, his lowest single-start total of the year.       The Orioles are considering pushing Bradish's next scheduled start back a day to Friday in Tampa Bay, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

      Advice: Cade Povich will join Baltimore's taxi squad and looks in line to be called up from Triple-A Norfolk to start against the Blue Jays on Thursday, which had been Bradish's turn. Bradish doesn't seem to be battling any physical issue, but rather the team is simply looking to give him a little extra rest. Bradish is coming off his worst start of the season, having allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks over 2.2 frames against the Rays this past Saturday.       Williams (elbow) struck out five over 2.1 innings and allowed three earned runs on three hits and two walks Tuesday in his second rehab start with Triple-A Columbus.

      Advice: After covering just one inning and tossing 32 pitches while giving up two runs in his first rehab start with Columbus last Thursday, Williams upped his pitch count to 46 (29 strikes) Tuesday. Williams' control has wavered a bit over his first two rehab outings, but so long as he avoids any further setbacks with his right elbow, he should remain on track to return from the 60-day injured list at some point later this month.       Advice: Lowe returned to the starting lineup against a right-hander following three consecutive games on the bench against a lefty. He was eventually removed for pinch hitter Robbie Grossman in the ninth inning against a left-hander. Lowe's line against southpaws in 2024 is down from his career standard -- .619 OPS this season compared to .761 for his career -- but that's still better than the alternative.
