      Gore (2-3) was hit with the loss Tuesday versus Texas after giving up two earned runs on five hits and a walk while striking out seven batters across five innings.

      Advice: Gore managed to keep the Rangers off the scoreboard for the first three innings, but an RBI single from Jonah Heim in the fourth followed by a fielder's choice in the fifth was all it took for Texas to take the lead over Washington and hand Gore his third consecutive loss. Despite his record, the 25-year-old lefty still owns a 3.19 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the year and has struck out at least six batters in four of his six starts.       Luis Rengifo finished 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI versus the Phillies in Tuesday’s loss.

      Advice: New Angels manager Ron Washington made it very clear early on that he wasn’t a Rengifo fan, but at this point, it’s hard to justify not batting him first. He was in the fifth spot tonight. but he has about 60 points of OBP on leadoff man Nolan Schanuel, and he’s definitely the more effective baserunner of those two.     • Mitch Keller gives up three runs in loss to A’s
      Mitch Keller dropped to 2-3 after allowing three runs in five innings Tuesday against the A’s.

      Advice: Keller struck out seven tonight, so that’s not bad. Still, he should have far better than a 5.18 ERA while facing a pretty easy schedule to date. His slider is just broken, and his lack of a true offspeed pitch has caught up to him big time.       Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a stolen base during Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Phillies.

      Advice: Rengifo gave the Angels a lead in the sixth inning, tagging reliever Yunior Marte for a three-run shot to plate Taylor Ward and Brandon Drury.       Keller (2-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings against the A's. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Although Keller punched out seven batters for a second consecutive outing, he was tagged for a trio of runs, including a solo homer by JJ Bleday. After entering the 2024 season with relatively high expectations, Keller has fallen to a 5.18 ERA through 40.0 innings and has surrendered five or more hits in all seven starts.       MacKenzie Gore allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out seven in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers.

      Advice: Fantasy managers couldn’t have hoped for much more out of Gore against a potent Rangers lineup. Despite getting saddled with a tough loss, Gore allowed just seven total base runners over five innings but fell victim to the long ball on solo blasts from Jonah Heim and Josh Smith. Gore struck out six or more batters in four of his six starts this month and is now sporting a 3.19 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. He’s been a pleasant surprise for the Nationals thus far and will look to continue his hot start in his next outing, which is slated for Sunday against the Blue Jays.
