    • Sitting against southpaw
Carpenter is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Carpenter has a 1.034 OPS with seven extra-base hits over his past eight games, but he'll receive Sunday off as lefty Jordan Montgomery pitches for Arizona. Wenceel Perez will shift to right field while Matt Vierling receives a start in center. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:55 am

    • Productive in extra-innings loss
Adell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Adell has gone 9-for-36 (.250) with four homers, nine RBI and one steal over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is up to eight homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs scored, eight steals, four doubles, a triple and a .250/.320/.528 slash line through 122 plate appearances. Adell had some brief moments of success in previous years, but he's finally doing enough to stick in a full-time role in right field in 2024. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:59 pm

    • Jo Adell homers in extra-innings loss to Rangers
Jo Adell homered and walked twice in an extra-innings loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Adell took Jose Leclerc deep to give the Angels a 2-1 lead and Adell his eighth homer of the season. The 25-year-old has really impressed thus far in 2024, as the three-reach game now has his OPS up to .847 to go along with eight steals and 21 RBI over 108 at-bats. It’s too early for victory laps, but those who have believed in Adell since he was a prospect have to feel a little more sane watching this run. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:03 pm

    • Stays hot with six-RBI day
Matos went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Saturday's 14-4 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Matos drove in a career-high five runs in Friday's series opener and then one-upped himself Saturday. He got the scoring going in this one with a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. The youngster then followed that with an RBI double in his next trip to the dish before capping off his night with a two-RBI single. Matos is just the fourth Giants player ever to notch consecutive five-RBI games, and he has tallied a whopping 17 RBI in seven contests since being recalled. While he had just a .661 OPS with the Giants last season and a .663 OPS this year at Triple-A Sacramento, Matos is a former top prospect who just turned 22 in January. At the very least, he's become a player who needs to be rostered in five-outfielder leagues. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:03 pm

    • Luis Matos drives in six runs against Rockies
Luis Matos went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI to power the Giants to a 14-4 win over the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Matos continued his RBI barrage on Saturday, blasting a three-run homer off Ty Blach in the first inning. He doubled in the third to drive in a run and added two more RBI in the eighth to make it six on the day and 11 over his last two games. The 22-year-old outfielder has gotten off to a hot start at the plate with the Giants, going 10-for-26 with two homers and 17 RBI. With Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) out for the season, Matos should be a regular in the lineup and brings intriguing power and speed, hitting three homers with three steals across 31 games in Triple-A before his call-up. • Idle against lefty
Wade isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Wade will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout as left-hander Ty Blach prepares to toe the slab for Colorado. Wilmer Flores will pick up a start at first base while batting third. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:04 am

    • Five RBI in win
Matos went 3-for-5 with two doubles and five RBI in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Matos enjoyed one of the best games of his career, driving in at least one run with each of his hits. He added an RBI on a groundout in the seventh inning as well. The 22-year-old is hitting .333 (7-for-21) with 11 RBI and three extra-base hits over his first six contests this season. With Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) out for the year, Matos has a golden opportunity to claim a full-time major-league job if he can keep hitting well. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:48 pm

    • Luis Matos brings in five runs in win over Rockies
Luis Matos drove in five runs and collected three hits in a 10-5 win Friday over the Rockies.

Advice: Matos has certainly looked the part since being recalled from the injured list, and Friday was (obviously) no exception. The 22-year-old doubled twice, and the five-RBI night gives him a streak of four-consecutive games with runs driven in. Matos failed in his time with the Giants in 2023, but it’s not a question of talent with the outfielder. He’s worth a speculative add in deeper redraft leagues. Rotoworld Friday, 10:18 pm

    • Kerry Carpenter drives in four in blowout win
Kerry Carpenter drove in four runs while going 2-for-5 in a blowout win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Carpenter tripled in two runs in the third and doubled home a pair more in the fifth. The 26-year-old has plated 22 runs in 44 games for the Tigers — a pace of 81 for the season — while hitting .276 with an .848 OPS. You can do a lot worse. Rotoworld Friday, 9:23 pm
