      Advice: Schmidt hasn't allowed a run in 15.2 consecutive innings, dating back to his May 4 start against Detroit. The 28-year-old was utterly dominant Thursday, setting a season high in punchouts while tying his season low in hits allowed. Schmidt's well on his way to a career year -- owning a 2.49 ERA in 50.2 innings -- as a back-end starter in one of baseball's best rotations.       Advice: Schmidt authored the strongest start of his career during Thursday afternoon’s matinee at Target Field, completing seven innings for the first time in his career, while also scattering three hits and needing just 103 pitches (69 strikes) to navigate eight nearly-flawless frames. He generated 16 swinging strikes, including 10 on his cutter alone, finishing with a robust 34 percent CSW. The 28-year-old righty has been a revelation this season for fantasy managers as a late-round steal in deeper mixed leagues.       Lynn (1-2) took the loss against the Angels on Wednesday, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five over five frames.

      Advice: Lynn got off to about as poor of a start as he could have asked for, surrendering a leadoff homer to Nolan Schanuel to open the game and failing to retire four of the first five batters he faced. All four runs surrendered by Lynn came in the first inning, though he would actually allow the first two batters to reach in the second as well, before working his way out of the jam. The veteran right-hander has now allowed four earned runs in three consecutive starts and has not made it through six innings since April 16 against the Athletics, which is a span of five starts.       Bradley (1-1) earned the win over Boston on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six batters over five innings.

      Advice: Bradley wasn't quite as sharp as he was in his season debut Friday versus the Yankees, when he gave up just one run and struck out seven batters over six innings, but a big difference Wednesday was that he went home with a win. The promising 23-year-old got a late start to the season after injuring his pectoral in spring training and subsequently landing on the injured list, but he's impressed in two starts since his return as he attempts to solidify the back of Tampa Bay's rotation.       Advice: The Angels got to Lynn in the first inning. He served up a leadoff homer to Nolan Schanuel before three hits and a wild pitch brought three more runs in to score in the opening frame. Lynn would settle in to toss four more scoreless innings before his day was done. The 37-year-old right-hander will take a 4.17 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and a 43/20 K/BB ratio across 45 1/3 innings into a start against the Orioles in St. Louis on Tuesday.       Taj Bradley battled Tanner Houck to earn the win in Fenway Park on Wednesday. He struck out six while allowing two earned runs, four hits, and one walk in a 4-3 victory.

      Advice: Bradley had an uneasy start to the game before settling in and defeating the Red Sox. His fastball command was spotty in this one leaving far too many up and out of the zone, but he leaned on his splitter against a lefty-heavy Red Sox lineup.       Kopech walked two and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Nationals.

      Advice: After working a scoreless frame in the nightcap of Tuesday's doubleheader in a non-save situation, Kopech was called upon again and labored through 33 pitches (20 strikes) before finally getting the job done. The last time the right-hander pitched on back-to-back days, he got the next four days off, so Kopech could be unavailable at least until the weekend.
