      Brendan Rodgers went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a double and a solo home run against the Reds on Monday.

      Advice: Rodgers’ home run was his third of the season. He now has a hit in 11 of his last 12 games and is 15-for-47 (.319) with two home runs and eight RBI in that time. Rodgers will continue to see regular at-bats in the Rockies lineup and even gets to bat second against left-handed pitchers, making him an option in deeper formats.       Gibson did not factor into the decision in Monday's loss to the Astros, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with eight strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

      Advice: Gibson allowed a two-run home run to Yordan Alvarez in the third inning and was pulled with a 4-3 lead in the sixth after allowing a run and loading the bases. Andrew Kittredge was able to get out of the jam, but the Astros later rallied for four runs in the eighth. Despite faltering late, Gibson has now pitched into the sixth inning in 10 of his 12 starts this season. In those 12 games, Gibson has posted a 3.69 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 60:28 K:BB. Wheeler turned in his fourth consecutive quality start Monday, bringing his season total to 10. Wheeler has pitched to a 2.23 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 91 strikeouts in 80.2 innings this season, all of which rank top 10 in the league.       Zack Wheeler yielded one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Wheeler carried a shutout bid into the seventh inning before coughing up a solo shot to former teammate Rhys Hoskins and wound up requiring a season-high 114 pitches (67 strikes) to navigate seven frames. He finished with six strikeouts and also handed out a trio of free passes. The 34-year-old right-hander has been one of the most consistent upper-echelon fantasy starters in the game for the last few years and hasn’t skipped a beat this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 11 of his 13 outings. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.23 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 91/26 K/BB ratio across 80 2/3 innings (13 starts) into a road tilt next Tuesday against the Red Sox at historic Fenway Park.       Advice: Donovan is back in action Monday after a stiff neck kept him out of the entirety of the Cardinals' three-game series with the Phillies over the weekend. The 27-year-old had been serving as the Cardinals' leadoff man against right-handed pitching prior to suffering the neck injury, but Donovan may have lost that role to Masyn Winn.       Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Romano received an anti-inflammatory injection for his right elbow Sunday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

      Advice: Romano will be shut down for 3-to-5 days before planning to resume a throwing program later this week. The reliever received a similar injection for the same injury back in late March and wound up missing about three weeks of action, although it's not clear whether a similar timetable is expected this time around.
